    Pros

Coworkers were great people. Fun after school job. If you love the sport, then you'll love what you do.

    Cons

Low pay, high turnover rates due to management hiring incompetent individuals just looking for a job, micromanagement, not much room for growth unless you're the boss's pet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people who actually care about the sport. Stop micromanaging like everyone else has mentioned.

    Pros

The company is fun, and most of the employees are young. Hours are pretty flexible, and they will work with your schedule, except for one manager. Team meetings once a week are good for learning products and meeting co-workers. Store manager, Roddy, is a great guy and should be running the company one day.

    Cons

CEO is very much a micro-manager, he makes it impossible to get a task done because he would constantly call you into his office. Certain long-term employees thought they were running the company as well, and it made things kind of heated knowing they were like spies for the boss. Don't forget, low-pay, no training, high turnover rate, and surrounded by incompetent employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As someone suggested, I too suggest hiring a manager to make day-day operation decisions.

    Pros

Employees were great. Loved coworkers. Great people.

    Cons

Micromanaged at work. Boss had a nasty temper and was constantly acting like he was Gordon Ramsey by yelling at employees. Quick fixes were always desired over actually addressing the underlying problem. Work could not be done because of constantly redirecting focus by boss. Impossible to complete tasks without being called into office and given a new task. Boss would set up "spies" in the office to report anything going on to him. Employee of the week was used as a manipulating tool and not based on actual work performed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a manager. Stay out of the day to day and let someone else worry about that.

    Pros

Overtime, health benefits, flexible schedule, raises offered upon reviews.

    Cons

Management over all is unprofessional. Mandatory weekends and nights. Company typically hired outside rather then promoting within

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't tolerate the level of unprofessionalism. It brings the company down as a whole.

    Pros

Relaxing if not trying to meet deadlines
Gives raises but only minimal amount ($0.25)
Praise from manager when you do a good job
    Great co-workers
    Flexible schedule
Weekly meetings and training, great learning opportunities

    Cons

They treat employees as disposable workers
Management has superiority complexes (like the previous reviewer stated)
Only given 10-15 minutes for lunch
The level of micromanagement is off the charts
The boss will make you come to work even when you're ill, unless you are dying/coughing up blood
Impersonal and absolute disregard for employees' work/personal life balance
Level of education and professionalism of upper management is as low as dirt
Workers in the back would openly discuss drug usage, booze, and party life

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop micromanagement and kick up the level of professionalism within the company! A little sincerity with your employees goes a long way.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

There is quite a bit of freedom and it can be laid back at times. It is a small store so you get to know all the employees.

    Cons

The boss can have a temper sometimes, and when he gets mad, that day at work will kind of suck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I feel that some of the managers have a superiority complex. Sometimes they just don't listen to what other people have to say.
