Terex has given me an opportunity to grow my skills and interact with people from around the world.

PC Technician (Current Employee)

I have been working at Terex full-time for more than a year

ProsTerex is a global company so there appears to be opportunity to grow depending on your skills and willingness to relocate.

ConsPeople here have been here for extended periods and since the business is segmented opportunities often involve moving around. If you choose to remain in one location your job duties may increase but not your opportunity.

Pretty good place to work.

Maintenance Technician (Current Employee)
Redmond, WA

I have been working at Terex full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThey value their people and their work.
Like to promote from within and will take people back two and three times.

ConsPay raises have been small in the last couple of years.
Too many engineers sitting around trying to reinvent the wheel.
Sometimes managers like to operate like it's a fiefdom.

Advice to Senior ManagementLet's focus less on 'lean' and more on just producing the product.

Small company trying to be BIGGER

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Westport, CT

I worked at Terex full-time for more than 5 years

ProsGreat Products, lots of opportunity, some very smart people work here. There may be some doubt as to the long term future of the smaller product lines.

ConsPoor benefits. Very much a 'small' company amongst the bigger boys of Cat and Komatsu. Terex struggles with the all round employee development programs that others offer.

Horrible company & management

Receptionist (Former Employee)
Redmond, WA

I worked at Terex full-time for more than a year

ProsIt was a pay check, and I got more experience to put on the resume

ConsI was treated so awful, and I wasn’t the only one. About half of the company is temporary workers, who get promised things and then chopped at the last minute. I had to train my own replacement, no one wants to get to know anyone because the high turn-over, it is a competitive and unprofessional environment.

Advice to Senior ManagementYour employees are human, try treating them that way. Stop putting people on salaries and pushing them to work crazy long hours, stop hiring temps and not giving them benefits, and simply be nice. Say good morning every now and then. To the people at the top and in corporate land, I don’t know how you sleep at night. You people are so greedy and selfish.
