Pros
interesting network, highly motivated people, taking risks is part of the company spirit and mistakes are accepted: all the ingredients are there to push people to "make it happen"
Cons
lack of interest for structured organisation, lack of experience of middle management (maybe somehow related to lower salaries that cannot attract experienced people)
Pros
Provides varied opportunities and challenges
Cons
At times, the decision making process appears to be chaotic, requiring many departments to weigh in on simple matters, a reason for delay
Pros
Teva is a global company with strong corporate traditions and you as a person is not just another link in the chain, but you feel that you are THE important part of the big mechanism.
If you have attainments Teva would always show the way for you to grow.
Cons
Sometimes common employee lack some communications between departments.
Pros
Teva is a great company in the Pharmaceutical industry. As a global leader in the generic market Teva is a front runner in the drive to make medicines, some of which are life saving, more affordable. Knowing that your job is helping to save lives and help people get access to the medications they need is very rewarding. Teva also has an excellent benefits package.
Cons
Teva, Irvine has been mismanaged. The research and development department specifically suffors from poor overbullying underappreciating negative-feedback type managment at the upper levels. Some supervisors are excellent but are hindered by the inept leadership in upper managment.
Advice to Senior Management
Global managment and decision making is above my level so I am not qualified to applaud or critique it. I feel that the upper level managment of the Irvine site has been very poor over the past few years, especially within the research and development department.
Pros
Fair salary and treatment of employees. Company cafeteria is subsidized and the food is excellent. Free parking. Close to public transportation.
Cons
The cafeteria is too noisy, they should do something about it.
Pros
excellent benefits
friendly environment
professional growth encouraged
flexible when emergencies arise
outstanding senior management
very open to suggestions/ideas on how to improve efficiencies
Cons
Change is so rapid here that at times you feel like if you blink you will be behind the eight-ball.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees suggestions on how to be more productive rather than just automatically assuming that the only way to do this is by eliminating additional employees. Remember, you hired these people because of their education, experience and background. Why not let them show you how they got where they are?
Pros
The only reason would be of Monetary value
Cons
Not valued as an employee
Advice to Senior Management
Fire your micromanagers
Pros
great health care benefits in the company
Cons
lack of professional growth in the company
Advice to Senior Management
new management
Pros
good medical benifets, carpool for employies is great
Cons
you have to kiss alote of butt to get promoted ,really disorginized,.Then changed our shifts and throw every one were ever with out asking us if we were ok with that new shift. They dont keep an eye on your work performance.taking o/t away from there employies /families
Advice to Senior Management
management needs to keep an eye out and notice whos getting the work done, so they can move up the right employes, looking at the paper work as well .
Pros
Teva has a great benefits plan and is people oriented. There is a good life/work balance that allows the employee to prosper both personally and professionally.
Cons
The organization is dysfuntionally structured with major departmental silos that make it difficult to work or improve cross-funtionally. The growth of the company has outpaced the growth of many of the managers abilities to support the company but there is no program in place to address this.
Advice to Senior Management
Take accountability for the people and processes and actively manage and support your areas. Stop relying on the methods that used to work when Teva was significantly smaller, and start managing and supporting change that helps the company be successful now.
