Pros
They will give you great benefits and good pay. They are a strong growing company with a lot of opportunity for you to grow.
Cons
The downside to working in pharma is that you will always have a good chance of being let go from the company because your product can go generic at any time.
Advice to Senior Management
I would like to know the full truth about where we are on new medications coming through the pipeline. We always seem to have a few at one time but then nothing happens.
Pros
Pay not bad. Health, vision great. Company vehicle nice.
Cons
Comp structure constantly changing.
Fear of losing one's job throughout company.
Incompetent management.
Advice to Senior Management
Many people were cut in the last layoff because they didn't have the right connection in the company. You let go of many talented people and kept many untalented slackers.
Pros
Industry leading benefits package. Teva has a great medical program and other ESPP plans that are certainly near the top of the industry.
Cons
Senior leadership is questionable. Relies on a antiquated business model that most other progressive companies are shying away from. Processes are lagging and trying to get anything done besides what is "in the works" is next to impossible. Great for those who want to check the box.
Pros
The people at the company all in all were great. There was also a nice base salary for most to begin with.
Cons
The commission was lacking with each new change. The drugs had a lack of research and coverage and you begin to fight a losing battle. There is also no stability.
Advice to Senior Management
I would suggest that they put programs in place for mentor ships. If you have to depend on a single manager to help you grow, you may not be set up for success.
Pros
I had a great Area Sales Director who trusted our worked and was willing to train other managers on what they needed to do to be successful.
Cons
Unfortunately, due to poor planning at the corporate level they has a restructuring and reduction in force in Sept 2011
Advice to Senior Management
Look to expand your capabilities. There are many great things that well established pharmaceutical sales organizations are doing and we need to do them here are Teva to be successful.
Pros
Great benefit package on the back end. High work load, with opportunity for overtime for those hourly workers. If salary, be prepared to stay in order to get the work done.
Cons
Could pay a little more on the front end. Too much politics in management, lots of favoritism. Inter-departmental communications need to improve.
Advice to Senior Management
Planning and job scheduling needs to improve. Results from the lab need to be turned around faster. Less favoritism needs to be shown regarding front office/senior management.
Pros
Challenging work and I worked with great people. They were all friendly and would help you out when you asked.
Cons
-Hours were extremely long, but it was a busy time at the facility I was working at so it probably isn't that hectic everyday.
-Pay wasn't that great for my position, but I was a temp so maybe full time gets paid better.
Pros
Nice group of people, nice enviorment
Cons
Location, weather management and bonus
Pros
pay increases, flexibility, tasks change up daily(forklift today, pick/packing next day, sorter next day-not 1 job day after day), OSHA training, 2 15 min breaks and 1/2 hr break, team work, good workers have freedom without boss on their neck, overtime can be worked on other shifts instead,
workers train new hires and not supervisors, 3rd shift pay differential $1.00+
Cons
higher pay can be personal or by favoritism instead of skill level, overtime became mandatory instead of voluntary, a few highly skilled at one task will be just on that task a few nights in a row, temps we train sometimes are a waste of time when they eventually leave for a different job they think they'll like better, temps don't take the work as seriously, temps are mainly stuck at sorting lanes stacking boxes on pallets forever since they aren't getting hired
Advice to Senior Management
get to personal levels a bit with everyone so no one feels left out to talk behind your back, great shift with high volumes sent out/processed should be dealt with encouragement/team morale lifting like "Good/great job tonight guys!" Management gets paid on every bottle processed, not the regular workers so please commend us and don't take our work for granted. We want to feel like more than a body. That what temps are for.
Pros
Great Benefits
Not a lot of micromanagement
You have ownership of your territory
You can get rewarded for you work if you have a good manager
Cons
The salary was low compared to other pharmaceutical companies
They just did a lay off in my division (women's health) and I feel that more are coming later this year.
