    I worked at Texaco

    Pros

The salary and atmosphere were good. I liked working there although it has been a long time. I did like working there though.

    Cons

Not much in the way of advancement. It seemed to be hard to move up or even move laterally while I was there. It was a good starting job though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more of a company contribution for personal growth and more in the way of work-life balances. More and sooner promotions and salary increases would have been nice.

I worked at Texaco part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    They pay above minimum wage.
    Fairly flexible hours.
Loose standards, meaning that you can get away with some things.

    Cons

Because their standards are loose, you can never know if the shift before you will have completed all of their work.
There is very little corporate loyalty to the cashier.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management should consider who they choose for local management as that person will have a formative influence on all the employees below them.
