Pros
- amazing site with seaview, tennis courts, volley-ball and football pitches.
- good salary for this location (Sophia Antipolis is usually -20% vs. Paris).
- young and dynamic culture
- quite flexible to switch jobs when opportunities are available.
Cons
- big big company
- might be too much process oriented, so a lot of reuse and not so much true innovation (if you are an engineer)
Pros
International opportunities to grow. Clear management structure. More training than you could point a stick at.
Cons
Politics, politics, politics. Not enough focus in Europe.
Advice to Senior Management
Look at the senior Europe management. Time for a change and some fresh blood.
Pros
Good pay,
Good compensation
Good benefits
Friendly people too.
Cons
Not enough training when job rotations are done.
Pros
Very technical environment, opportunities to learn new things, company is on the cutting edge in technology and in benefitts. Good work life balance and more than enough vacation days as well.
Cons
Highly technical environment creates extreme competitieveness. Also they put so much focus on diversity (which is good) but it's so much that it can marginalize and puts down non-minority employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Good to play up diversity but it should not be the top priority - productivity and ability should be more important.
Pros
Diversity of people is vast. Global scope of the enterprise is awesome.
Cons
Too big and abstract at times. Politics are done better and more artfully than any other place I have worked.
Pros
Texas Instruments is a good learning place. A lot of skilled professionals work here on state of the art technology.
Cons
Its a very huge organization and the chances of climbing up the professional ladder are slimmer than being in a start up company.
Pros
Freedom to do your work and not excessive management interference. Management team at the local level and next level are focused on the real challenges that impact your work.
Cons
Join a group that has future potential impact. Do not under estimated the power of communication with team and leadership.
Advice to Senior Management
For the most part, I have seen a strong market growth in a global economy. I would like to see more growth within the US rather than overseas.
Pros
TI offers so many different opportunities in one place, lots of flexibility to try new roles and take on different challenges. Great colleagues who always want to help, very open discussions. High standard of ethics.
Cons
It's a big company, so things can sometimes move slowly. You need to be persistent to make things happen here. Leaders can sometimes be too customer focused.
Pros
There was a very good motivation from everyone on the team. The works hours were also pretty much flexible. Feedback was provided then and there.
Cons
Sometimes the work might get too demanding, forcing you to stay up late into the night. Other than this, I could not think of any other con .
Advice to Senior Management
I would rate my overall experience as satisfied. Therefore I have any advice or feedback to convey to the management.
Pros
Like Dallas Area. Good employer. Good benefits. Fast paced work environment. Very challenging.
Cons
Promotions are not done purely based performance. Lot of politics involved.
Advice to Senior Management
Dont promote people to make the metrics on diversity. Please promote diverse folks if the performace is equivalent to non-diverse candidates.
