    False Sense of Security

    Recruiter (Former Employee) Austin, TX

ProsYou will receive Top Notch Sales training. There are numerous challenge trips to Hawaii, Orlando, Las Vegas, Washington, DC., Boston to name a few.

ConsDo not expect to retire from the National Guard as an AGR soldier. Do not put the Military in from of your family. You will receive a false sense of security.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake care of your AGR soldiers. Do not allow MDAY boards impede the retirement of AGR soldiers that are top producers.

    – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Infantry leads the way!

11B Infantryman (E-5) (Current Employee) Amarillo, TX

ProsEasily the best job in the Army. In the National Guard, you train one weekend a month and two weeks a year. Training is generally fast-paced, and unlike anything in the civilian world.

ConsAlong with the good days, there are plenty of bad ones. The Army as a whole has a tendency to lose paperwork, and sometimes, processes seem unorganized and inefficient.

Great at the unit level, but HQ in Austin is lacking.

Flight Operations Sergeant (Former Employee) Grand Prairie, TX

ProsIt's an interesting dynamic because most of the people you work with have been in the unit for 10+ years and outside of a drill weekend they could be doctors, lawyers, pilots, police officers, or even college students. It's a great way to network!

ConsSometimes drill weekends don't coincide with family plans(the unit is great at working with you on this) or other things and the headquarters in Austin is slow on processing paperwork.

Advice to Senior ManagementStreamline the paperwork process and always take care of Soldiers first.

It's what you make of it.

    Soldier (Former Employee) Austin, TX

ProsIt's a great organization to be part of a team. You'll develop a lifetime of camaraderie and have great opportunities to explore the world and experience adventures most people never will.

ConsYou will likely spend some time away from family and friends, miss birthdays, anniversaries etc.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
