    Pros

Make some great friends. New managing partner is awesome-genuinely cares about his employees and notices hard work.

    Cons

Can be overwhelming trying to balance work-life-college.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work, maybe work on trying not to micromanage so much.

I worked at Texas Roadhouse full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Your success and growth is in your own hands. Tying pay to success hold accountability to a level that requires less strict oversight.

    Cons

Support in a multi-unit environment is limited. No internal recruiters to help staff management. Partner program may make each store their own, but can lack in brand consistency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire an internal recruiters. This will help your Managing Partners hire the best candidates in the management ranks. Also increase base salaries; the bonus structure puts your pay in your own hands, but when the current environment puts assistant salary managers in the base range that you pay your partners, it makes it hard to pay assistant managers, as well as can be discouraging to people that take on challenging stores.

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse (more than a year)

    Pros

This is a great place to work. It is way more organized than many restaurants I've worked in, and they actually care about their employees.

    Cons

The only real complaint that I have is that our employee discount is 30% and I wish it was 50%. However, depending on the store you work in and the management, they give you free food frequently!
