I worked at Texas Steakhouse & Saloon part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

the other workers are great people to work with, and great opportunities to move up in the ladder. Very easy job regardless of the position you take and great benefits. very flexible with hours and your life

    Cons

nothing really, maybe some better pay would be great but overall, a very pleasant experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

offer raises more often, create incentives to work harder

I have been working at Texas Steakhouse & Saloon part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I have always enjoyed the fast-paced work environment of a restaraunt, the guests seemed nice and the interview process was really easy.

    Cons

The menu was a bit much to learn. The girl who trained me wasn't very attentive to her guests and the other servers there didn't care for teamwork or seem to have much of a work ethic at all. The management staff, aside from one, weren't very professional using profanity and making sexual jokes freely amongst the staff. The restaraunt itself was very unkempt and dirty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I could tell the restaraunt was hurting for help and needed people to work there, but being a little more professional and showing a bit more pride in your work goes a long way.

    Pros

    Tips
    fun atmosphere
room for growth with long term commitment
    Flexible hours
    Consideration for time off
    Good management
    Relax environment

    Cons

Management seems to play favorites from time to time.
No room for growth if you do not want to comit long term to the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should not try to be "friends" with the employees. It is neccessary to draw the line at some point and be a boss.
