    Pros

Agile environment with buy-in from management, HUGE potential market, innovation is rewarded.

    Cons

Bifurcated dev environments - Python and Java teams didn't interact very much.

    Pros

    very smart people work here
some upper management is open minded and open to new ideas - need to get in with the right team though

    Cons

-Upper management team needs continuous training on how to manage
-Upper management also needs to learn how to delegate tasks that they should no longer be doing
-Top talent is in the city, not in Deerfield.
-Not right the right management in the right places (ex: lawyer leading marketing or technology??? makes no sense -- ask other tech companies who is leading those parts of the business - it's not their lawyers.)
--does anyone read this and actually take these into consideration?

    Advice to Management

-Survey your employees. If you want them to stay, ask them why they are unhappy. If you don't want the feedback and can't handle it, you aren't running your business right
-learn what other tech companies are doing - you aren't the only "cool" company in Chicago. There are a million others that are by far doing way more for their employees and being far more successful than you. Get involved in your community!
-Attend networking events - and encourage your employees to do the same. Don't make them feel caged, like they can't leave work to do something for work after work. Insane.
-If you have flexible hours, have flexible hours. Don't say you do and then don't. Integrate work with their personal lives.
-You are losing great people and Textura has so much potential. Find out what's going on and actually think about fixing it!

    Pros

The company’s rapid growth is creating ample opportunity for people to challenge themselves and stretch beyond their comfort zone – and to be rewarded for their successes. Colleagues generally are bright, driven and engaged, and also willing to take time help one another out. Collaborative culture with an emphasis on learning. Good perks. Right amount of fun/activities.

    Cons

People requiring a lot of direction, deliberation or a heavy “corporate feel” may struggle.

There are always some good people in any company, but those people are leaving. The old boys club keeps running people out.

    Cons

Any company that has to talk about culture has culture problems. Textura culture does not cultivate employees.

    Advice to Management

    Start caring about employees

    Pros

Great team environment, loved my co workers. Fun perks occasionally. Competitive pay.

    Cons

Absolutely no communication across their solution platform. Upper management is running their business on outdated principles and don't come off their high horse. Their product development is not agile and completely needs an overhaul.

    Advice to Management

    Humble yourselves.

    Pros

You will work with many brilliant and nice people. Generous on starting salary

    Cons

Work flow and step is not standard with no clear written requirement, but organization is already quite bureaucratic

    Advice to Management

Need to remove heavy dependency on not proven technology which not many company use and has a lot friction with main stream technology.
Remove unnecessary complexity on code which cause extremely expensive to maintain
Upgrade python version before too late, it keep increasing cost of maintaining code than moving code line with new version.
Need requirement specialist to gather and analysis requirements ( not only business requirement, but also performance, security ... ) and provide written format requirement document can be used as reference.
