    Pros

Work life balance, Flexi-time, Friendly colleagues

    Cons

Slow to market, cuts being made due to state of the defence market has affected morale and put pressure on managers, low salary with freezes for years, Poorly run graduate programme, for an international firm there doesn't seem to be too much movement of people

    Pros

Big company benefits. Interesting projects. Some good people.

    Cons

Very inflexible. Senior management completely incompetent. Very process oriented. Promotion or career advancement minimal if you not French. Salaries for sales not market related. Very political.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Urgently need new blood in the management team. Review of the way sales are incentivised.

I have been working at Thales full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great engineering company. Long term career prospects good.

    Cons

Middle management totally incompetent. Company very slow in responding to changes in market. Very much internally focused. Not commercially savvy. Cannot manage sales intuitively - everything has a process associated with it. Very cumbersome.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Unless the internal focus is corrected and a new breed of sales people are not brought into the company - there will be tough time ahead.
