I have been working at Thapar University

    Pros

The reasons vary from person to person. People with a PhD from IIT are required to gain three years experience before they join an IIT. To learn the intricasies of effective teaching and state of the art research, it is better to start with a private but renowned institution. The brand value of Thapar makes it an ideal place for a beginner.

    Cons

Management is inefficient, incompetent, too much politicised with nepotism at its worst. Certainly not an institution to serve for more than five years.

    Advice to Management

Just check your credential guys. Try to figure out why faculty from IIT leaves in a couple of years. Either you do not want them to stay.
