    Pros

work with amazing people, learn and grow. Take on new responsibilities and tasks.

    Cons

fats paced environment, long hours, high expectations.

    Advice to Management

varying entry level positions would allow the company to work with more of the great people we interview. the biggest departments get most of the focus, but not everyone can work in customer service sectors

    Pros

I started off working for the company in one of their specialty call centers for a few months and then transferred over to the Residential Direct Marketing program to learn more about the sales and marketing side of the work. I learned a lot working for both programs, like prioritizing tasks, handling escalations, building better customer rapport and being an effective communicator. I am now currently working for a senior division in the company within six months. There is potential for growth in the company as long as you are willing to work hard for it. Yes the hours are long, but not just for one particular program but for all of them. Personally, I work those long hours because I wanted my work reflect how much effort I put in and there are people like- minded and they do it because they care. If you want to grown as asset to the company and you are willing to work hard for it, you will have the full support of management to reach your potential.

    Cons

More team activities to put faces to the names!

    Advice to Management

    Pros

I came into the company with zero social skills. seriously. I wasn't able to talk to people without feeling super anxious, going bright red, or feeling like I was going to throw up or pass out. walking into a room full of confident business sales people was terrifying at first, but gradually I warmed up to the team. Everyone was really supportive and helpful, always offering me tips and opportunities to practice, and high fives when I was too nervous to speak.

I've learned a lot in workshops, and through practice. I can now approach a stranger and actually start a conversation, which was something I thought I'd never be able to do. Really appreciate the training and support I've received here.

    Cons

If you're shy or just socially dumb like I was when I started it can be really scary and overwhelming at first.. But stick it out. Keep showing up every day and learning and talking a little more and you'll gradually get used to being uncomfortable and you'll gradually improve.

    Advice to Management

More one on one training would be nice for those of us who are scared of speaking in front of a group.

    Pros

I came on board about half year ago. After working at so many entry level jobs, I was really excited about the opportunity to grow into management at the acquisition group. I finally can see myself being a leader. Love the fact that the company is willing to train and help people grow. I am working with great teams and very supportive managers. I now have my own team and couldn't wait to see myself advancing and moving forward.

    Cons

    not really, maybe more trainings?

    Advice to Management

It will be good if we could have teams from different offices joined together to share their experiences and strategies once in a while.

    Pros

This is the place you do not need to pay a penny to learn all the sales, leadership and interview conducting skills. The workshops and trainings they give us everyday may cost me hundreds of dollars if were taken at a school. The company focuses a lot on personal growth, so if you think you are a management material but just lack of experience and skills, this will be the right place to go. The best part is: you always can feel you are appreciated by the company for your hard work

    Cons

So far, there is nothing I dislike about the company. I am very glad to be part of the team

    Advice to Management

    Maybe more flexibility?

    Pros

Good for gaining sales/management experience with no prior experience.
    Fairly Autonomous.
    Good training.

    Cons

    Long Evening Hours.
    Hard work.
Can be very cold in the winter as it was door-to-door.

    Advice to Management

False impressions in the interview cause a lot of recruits to leave very quickly.

    Pros

In the interview they make it sound like your dream job. then your first day you learn all they didn't tell you.

    Cons

This is a Pyramid Scheme!!! i thought i was applying to work at Telus, turns out you don`t actually work for the company you think you are, you are a employee of The Acquisition Group not Telus!!! you are a third party contractor that sells Telus products and services, Not a Telus employee!!!!

They want you to move to management quickly so u can open your own store and recruit shady people. ie move up the pyramid.

10 hour days, NO BENEFITS!!!, paid by personal cheque, no direct deposit, no base wage, 100% commission, do not pay or reimburse you for gas/parking/travel expenses, no vacation.
(This is what you find out the first day when you read the contract the want you to sign as a contractor)

They teach you a script and teach you how to be shady, they tell you how to corner someone and pressure them into buying, this is DOOR TO DOOR all cold customers!! you go to a assigned area, get out of your car and go business to business trying to sell.

They don't pay for gas or parking! which gets very expensive when you primarily work downtown!
Horrible people that don't care about you, only your numbers and sales, they interview 10+ people a day trying to get them in, turn around is insane, most leave after the first shift. During training our trainer left us alone 4 times to do these interviews. so unprofessional.

Beware!!! This is not a career! Do not believe them in the interview!!!!

This is a third party contracting company that will use u and throw u away the second you make a small mistake!!! Shady, sketchy, dishonest, unprofessional people work here!!
This place and company is a complete joke, please don't let them fool you!!!
Don't let their lies fool you!

    Again... PYRAMID SCHEME!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Grow up and stop lying to people to reel them in to this joke of a ``job``
