  1. This was one of my favorite jobs that I've ever had & wish that they still offered the hourly wage of $16.

I worked at The Answer Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hourly wage, 12 hour shift/ 3.5 daddy work week, benefits, holiday pay, free Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway to each employee, several dedicated indoor smoke rooms per building, option to eat lunch/snack in cubicle vs noisy lunch areas, security/medal detectors upon each entrance/exit, IT, hundreds of company wide informative display flat/HD screens accessible throughout company's, badges and uniforms.

    Cons

Security guards had authority to fire, disorganization of human resources, & favoritism shown to veterans vs newbies

    Advice to Management

A reasonable purpose for putting employees and potential employees in "non rehireable" status should be required. Notification/assignment of trainees options to choose permanent work schedules available before training begins and/or upon completion of training class.

    Pros

They are good trainers. You can learn a lot about technical support and gain call center experience.

    Cons

There are many phone calls to answer. Sometimes the customer are not polite.

    Advice to Management

Try to encourage the team more.

I worked at The Answer Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was said if you could last 6 month there, you could get a job anywhere after that. It meant you had staying power

    Cons

Was worse place to work. They built the building around us. I went home with white specks in my hair from paint. People had bibles on their desks, people who didn't profess to be Christian. Trapped on a call, customer asking for a supervisor, and she would not take call and I could not hang up. 1.5 hrs on phone with women screaming.

    Advice to Management

Consider the people there as human not attachments to their desks

I worked at The Answer Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people who worked alongside you.Made many friends which made working there much better. Also some of the people in upper management who understood how hard the job was.

    Cons

Upper management and treatment of employees. Bonuses that were promised but never paid. This was what killed morale among the rank and file.

    Advice to Management

    Promote from within

I worked at The Answer Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None. They seem to mistake tactlessness for "tough managerial skills". They do promote really dumb people, so if you're not very bright, this place is for you.

    Cons

Supervisors and managers are uneducated and lack social skills; they seem to think that being tough implies that that you have to be mean.

    Advice to Management

Stay where you are. This is the best you will ever do.

    Pros

They train you... but only the bare basics.

    Cons

They valued their "guests" more than their disabled employees. Disabled space was a block down the building and the the corner.... whereas Guest parking was 20 feet from the front door!

    Advice to Management

Women aren't allowed to wear skirts! I am well endowed so the made me wear a shirt 2 sizes too big!
