It was a very high paid serving position for the area.

Horrible staff morale, scheduling problems
Managers pick favorites -- bar manager goes on vacations with favorite employees, screws the others

Great money, slave like conditions!

ProsYou make sometimes over $1000 a week in the summer.

ConsYou only make good money in the summer. Conditions are terrible. It's hot. They force you to wear black pants outside in the summer. You are not allowed to have water bottles on the floor because it violates health code. They force you to come in at 3:30 and do not allow you to eat until close. The place is like a paid Nazi camp.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop using people.

Run!!!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at The Barking Crab

ProsStaff are friendly. Owners seem to have good intentions.

ConsManager turnerover rate: 20+ in a year. Anyone else concerned? Upper management is unprofessional on every possible level and has no boundries.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper management is in need of a performance review. Either they are a poor judge of character or impossible to work with based on the turnover rate alone. Figure out what your priorities and target market are if you want to survive in this economy.
