    Pros

Most people are friendly and benefits are good.

    Cons

The biggest downside is having to work at all! Other than that probably the free food they feed you. But its free.

    Pros

    Great Ownership and fun atmosphere

    Cons

Just like all casino jobs, favoritism out rules great work

  5. A company that operates on favoritism.

    I worked at The Cannery

    Pros

Free lunch good pay and good fellow co-workers

    Cons

Good pay but that is exactly the reason they were looking to fire so many people because they were in financial stress as North Las Vegas was in bad shape asking employees to resign to get rehired at lower pay.

    Pros

The Cannery is a smart company that invests in technology. A good place to work for someone who is interested in acquiring/further developing SQL skills. The company provides opportunities to be "heard" and prosper, as well as to operate within a complex marketing mix.
The Cannery's GM is one of the most talented Hospitality Executives I have ever worked with.

    Cons

A heavy Corporate involvement limits creativity. To be happy, one needs to fit in, which may be challenging as the culture is somewhat "close-minded" with most of the management being in place since the opening. To be happy, one needs to be able to accept the culture.

    Advice to Management

    Open up the culture.

    Pros

Competitive benefits, fair pay and friendly staff

Lower end customers and tends to stray from company values from time to time.

    Pros

I worked with great people in the race and sports book

    Cons

I was laid off 3 months after leaving another job to work there. By the time I was called back from layoff the thrill was gone and I would have rather been anywhere but there.

    Advice to Management

I don't have any, they were all good people throughout the casino. If you do your job you will have no problems.

    Pros

Good working atmosphere, co workers are nice and everybody knows each other. People are easy to communicate with.

    Cons

Small time trying to be big time. Gaming atmosphere is 24x7 365, and days off are at a premium. Most holidays you will spend at work.

    Advice to Management

    Allow your employees to grow.

  10. Inconsistent communication and expectations from Senior Management across it's various properties.

    Pros

Competitive pay and majority of employees work hard for the company.

    Cons

Communication from Corporate Senior Management to the property level executives.

    Advice to Management

Lots of potential to gain market share from local competitors - institute a consistent and effective brand image among the properties.

    Pros

The only pro I had while working at the Casino is that the fellow employees are great and some of the best friends i have ever made

    Cons

The company is awful. I would not work here. The management is not good at their jobs. They overwork anyone who is willing to stick around

    Advice to Management

Please learn how to communicate to your employees about changes and ask for their opitions. They are the ones speaking to guests about what they would like and could make the business better
