I have been working at The Children's Place full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Always something changing or going on, company has good intentions
Cons – assitant managers do not get many benefits even though they work as much as store managers. They dont get bonuses
Advice to Senior Management – dont forget the little people!! we keep the business going too, not just the SSM who already makes bank!
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I worked at The Children's Place full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Merchandise all day every day to get product onto the floor.
Cons – Little hours, little pay, LOTS of theft, LOTS of changes in company procedures; company going downhill. The last few months I was there, they had us saving money by turning off the breakers as soon as we closed, leaving us in complete darkness to recover the store.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop changing every ten seconds. Come up with something that works and stick to it. Every store is different, so you have to find a happy medium.

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time for more than a year
Pros – Flexible schedule, good coworkers, nice discount, good product, comfortable atmosphere, relaxed, easy job, good benefits
Cons – There is no support of staff by corporate. Stores do not receive enough payroll hours to keep up with loss prevention. Too much is focused on annoying the customer rather than actually assisting them. Corporate also attempts to have the stores compete rather than work together, which makes little sense because everyone is really on the same team. The Children's Place also doesn't seem to understand the need for equal opportunity clothing.
Advice to Senior Management – Support your staff, give them payroll hours. No one wants to work for a company which does not give them the chance to work, after all that's why they applied. You also shouldn't try to make stores so competitive but rather you should have stores compete with other children's clothing stores. Also, change the color palate from hot pink and glitter to more mature colors and we won't start losing customers at age 10.
You should also provide girls and boys with the same clothing opportunities. Why are there no superhero shirts directed at young girls?

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time for more than a year
Pros – very friendly and great work environment
Cons – you are doing more work than the pay you receive
Advice to Senior Management – I believe that since it is majority of a children's and family environment that we should try to work more as a team but it seems everyone is kind of on their own assignments which is fine but I think more work would be able to get done with more of a team effort.

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time for less than a year
Pros – Great clothes, great variety, wonderful prices and a great crew to work with that gets a long very well.
Cons – Call in shifts. If your on the schudule as a call in and you plan your day around it. You call 2 hours before the shift woyld begin. I have been told they didnt need me everytime i had a call in shift and missed out on a lot of family events because if it.
Advice to Senior Management – Have less employess so we can get more that 5-10 hours mazimum weekly.

I have been working at The Children's Place full-time for more than a year
Pros – Some people that work for this company can identify top talent and coach them to be great managers...
Cons – Old POS systems that frustrate customers (returns can take an upwards of 10+minutes to complete)
Heavier workloads without payroll to support it.
Allocations still can't get it right.
Completed your floorset on time? sorry, we couldn't make up our minds so we changed it again. By the way, you don't have extra hours to make the changes.
training is inconsistent from store to store. "everyone does things differently"
Advice to Senior Management – Delve deeper into the effectiveness of the "tools" you'all send out that you claim are useful. Do you want managers that sit in an office trying to figure out how to use a "useful tool" or would you rather have people running the store with their team focusing on the Bigger Picture?' If you want a selling culture I must warn you, you aren't heading in the right direction.

I have been working at The Children's Place full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great benefits. Competitive pay. Fun clothing for kids.
Cons – Workload expectations are outrageous. Company is slowly taking hours away, which results in store manager working overtime on a salary pay. Corporate is trying to change so many things that its creating chaos. No work/life balance.
Advice to Senior Management – Have realistic expectations for your stores. Support your stores with payroll!
