    Pros

    Meet lots of connections to further career outside of the club.
    Meet wonderful people.
    Very Flexible with schedule.

    Cons

    No cons, good college opportunity.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to be flexible with the college students, they keep the place alive.

    Pros

    The employees are nice. The job is not difficult. Job security is very easy. Overall, the customers are pleasant.

    Cons

    The company is poorly managed. Everything is based on profits, and the company does not care for its employees. Work standards are biased and favoritism is prevalent.

    Advice to Management

    Consider the opinions of your employees more often. The employees have much more interactions with customers, so you would benefit from listening and seriously taking into considerations the suggestions of your employees.

    Great people to work with, beautiful properties, lots of freedom to make decisons within department

    Cons

    Sr. Management not capitalizing on opportunities to fund the business - needed to give up control.

    Advice to Management

    Doesn't matter at this point since they went bankrupt.

    Pros

    The benefits were great and the location was as well.

    Cons

    Management was a joke and only promoted those who kissed butt.

    Advice to Management

    New owners should of cleaned house. They kept some of the problem.

    Pros

    Great pay back when market was hot. Great support people around you. Very professional and hard working employees. 70% of the company were workaholics. That is the culture.

    Cons

    Incredible company run into the ground by poor decisions and bad investments at the worst time in 90 years to make that mistake. It would have eventually crumbled anyway because of the drastic increases In property prices. No way the market could keep sustaining those prices.

    Spend money on marketing if they want to ever bring people back to their properties.

    Pros

    Within The Cliffs there are seven golf courses that are currently open and you are able to play any of them as an employee.

    Cons

    Since The Cliffs lives on real estate, their cash in-flow is basically gone with the economic down turn. The CEO failed to plan for any down turn and continued to pump money into new golf courses when others weren't finished. Needless to say, they have no money at this time and can't even pay bills for new golf grips. I worked for them before and the mood was very different than it is now. It seems as though since the company is doing bad, everyone reflects that isn't at all happy with their job.

    Advice to Management

    Try and keep spirits up. Don't disappear for long periods of time. Show interest in employees needs.

    Pros

    Above industry base pay (when I was there, but now that's changed too), relaxed atmosphere, PTO time, beautiful place to work, free golf.

    Cons

    Management has made poor decisions for years and combined with the sluggish real estate market, it's bringing the company to a screeching halt. Always wondering if you will have a job the next morning. Lack of communication between departments. Mr. Anthony is constantly changing directions for the company and our job roles to increase sales, but they never seem to work. Much of the property is overpriced and Mr. Anthony refuses to meet the market. No 401k match. Commute for most employees.

    Advice to Management

    Mr. Anthony, most people will agree that you have a great vision and passion for what you do, however, it's time to let professionals run the company and salvage what jobs and property values still remain. Unfortunately, it's likely too little too late.

    Pros

    Teamwork within the department was beyond excellent and the support between departments was exceptional. You will not find a better group of qualified, diligent employees.

    Cons

    There was a disconnect when it came to information flow which was crucial in many of the decision making processes.

    Pros

    They are committed to employee wellness. They have benefit programs just for taking good care of your health. A very positive and challenging work environment.

    Cons

    They have no commitment to their employees. It is like a revolving door. They hire and fire aggressively.

    Advice to Management

    Share more information with your employee about the status of the company. It will help ease the minds of your employees if they are not just waiting for the grim reaper to come visit them.
