Pros
Company recognititon-great on resume for future reference
Cons
Large company, competition is fierce
Advice to Senior Management
Be more transparent
Pros
small fish in a big pond
great pay
everything you need is on campus (Atlanta)
Cons
slow to change
leadership (in my group) was unwilling to ask for or accept feedback from "drones"
benefits no longer better than other similar-sized companies
Pros
benefits, pay, perks, cafe & cleaners on site
Cons
long hours
expectation to handle everything
mistakes are not tolerated
Advice to Senior Management
remove upper management, be true to your word of happiness - for employees
Pros
Money is good.
Working from home.
Benefits are so-so.
Life balance; not that much work.
Cons
Extremely poor management communication.
Many management layers with a lot of processes that are followed at times and create a bottle neck.
Surprised anything gets done.
Lots of bureacracy.
Have to drink the "coke" to like the culture.
Plenty of red-tape.
Marketing giant company, not an IT leader.
Too much reliance on consultants and contractors. No in-house knowledge.
Facilities are terrible; dirty and disgusting.
No career growth opportunties if you are not part of the team.
Advice to Senior Management
Eliminate the red tape and put processes that make sense and are well documented. Just because you have processes, does not mean you are running a well oiled machine.
Pros
Decent health and retirement benefits. Fair pay and bonus structure. Free product in the building and large selection of places to eat on-site. Company events for employees.
Cons
Limited work-life balance, flexibility depends on if manager will allow it. Not friendly to working mothers/dual income families. Old school and formal. Career development limited. Not easy to move within the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Implement changes and policies that improve employee satisfaction and reduce turnover. Such as policies like telecommuting that allow more work-life balance. Set-up processes for approval of policies so Managers can't say no because they don't like it, only if there is a business reason to deny the employee that benefit.
Pros
Great learning enviroment, work/life balance, co-workers are very engaging with new employees
Cons
Sometimes frustrating due the size, innovation and ideas move and process slowly
Pros
The benefits are great and if you want to advance in your career.... other employeers seem to REALLY like seeing coke on your resume.
Cons
It's hard to move up the ladder unless you know the right people. At coke you don't have to have the best numbers or do the best job.... you just have to meet your numbers and know the right people. So if you don't know anybody... you are stuck at the same job.
Advice to Senior Management
Most of the employees were/are very supportive of the meger of CCNA and CCE into CCR... but how everything is/was working out has everyone on pins and needles. May want to consider better communcation with lower level employees..... and also re-train HR so they can all get on the same page.
Pros
International exposure--Coke derives 70%-80% of revenues outside of US. Great place to get internaional exposure, but not necessarily experience.
Cons
Insular, old-boys network tough to penetrate. Ex-Pat network that is tightly knit, wary of local talent.
Advice to Senior Management
Cookbook approach to each market may not work as there are still vast cultural differences that affect local consumer choices.
Pros
great brands and people. Really big budgets and commitment to excellence
Cons
politics, reorgs, and fairly stressful environment
Advice to Senior Management
focus on building talent and growing individuals not your own career politics
Pros
Reputation of brand. City located
Cons
Culture. Skill set and work ethic of employees has decreased over the years
Advice to Senior Management
Dig into how your employees treat each other and external vendors
