Great people, great training, great relationships built!

Account Business Manager (Former Employee) Scottsdale, AZ

ProsThe people that work at The Dial Corporation are great. They care about you as an individual and they want you to succeed. The training is second to none and they will find a way to help you grow.

ConsAs with any company, when the parent company finally steps in and starts making changes, jobs are eliminated and downsizing happens.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe leadership at The Dial Corporation really took the time to get to know me, learn about me and how to make me most successful for the job they hired me for. I have only amazing things to say about the Management at The Dial Corporation!

Mixed atmosphere - some good people, strong salaries for Phoenix, but HQ invasion trying

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Scottsdale, AZ

ProsGood people, higher than average salaries for Phoenix, Half-day Fridays, Flexible schedules depending on department, Newer building

ConsPressure due to disconnect with HQ (Dusseldorf, Germany) on many issues. Frustration as more senior managers/VPs/GMs filled with ex-pats and the disconnect is filtered down to those who execute.

Advice to Senior ManagementCultural/consumer differences between the U.S. and Germany drive business decisions and, unfortunately, one size doesn't fit all.

Great learning experience, but the culture has room to improve

Assistant Brand Manager (Former Employee) Scottsdale, AZ

ProsLots of responsibility right away which leads to lots of opportunity to learn and competitive pay.

ConsSmall budgets, given the categories they brands play in, and a culture that results in the blame game being played far too often.

Advice to Senior ManagementDefine the role of Germany going forward and reduce the blame game to improve the culture.

    Lack of planning

IT Manager (Former Employee) Scottsdale, AZ

ProsNice building and good salary will lure you

ConsOwned by Henkel in Germany, the executives do not communicate what is really happening.

Advice to Senior ManagementExecutives in Germany should communicate intentions to other countries so they are in line with long term objectives.

    Nice place to live.

    Engineer (Current Employee) Phoenix, AZ

ProsIt is a fantastic place to live. Vacation weather 9 months of the year. The small size of the company really helps you to know those you work with.

ConsSmaller company so some limited opportunities. Area had alot of turnover since people seem to lack roots there.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore innovation please. It is nice to see some of it starting so we have something to be proud of and sell!
