    Pros

    Love the team that my GM and I have created and the hour leave you available in the evenings.

    Cons

    Salaried managers have to work every weekend and every holiday, no exceptions. Being at work at 5:30 every morning wears on you when you're not making the money that you deserve.

    Learn how to take care of the people that work haRd for you.

    Pros

    Great place to learn good restaurant and customer service skills. The Egg and I takes customer appreciation over any other aspect of their service.

    Cons

    Great place to work, just does not pay as good for the work required to do.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on making goals for employees.

    I have been working at The Egg and I Restaurants full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Not much. If you like narcissism your in the right spot.

    Cons

    Not much support. Will always work weekends. 60 + hr. work week. Sunday is inventory day. GM schedule written by RVP.

    You are what you are. Just a Colorado Dennys

    Pros

    You get tipped out and the job is extremely easy.

    Cons

    Some of the workers are hard to get along with, but that's expected working at a resturant. The servers make wy more money than a hostess. If there are alot of host scheduled, the tips get divided and you make nothing.

    Increase amount tipped out and don't schedule so many host.

    Working morning and being off at nights.

    Cons

    Working every weekend, never getting the days off u want not even for your sister wedding !

    Upper management don't care as long as the profit are coming in .

    The staff was friendly and encouraging. Great learning enviornment

    Managment wasnt exactly my friend. More like my owner. I was slaved

    Pros

    Professional work environment- especially for a breakfast restaurant. Excellent hours (no nights!). Management has a relatively high rate of turnover (seem to rotate among locations) providing variability, which I enjoyed but I understand that some would not.

    Cons

    Very strict corporate values. Everything must be exactly the right way, to a tedious extent.

    I worked at The Egg and I Restaurants full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Loved my coworkers -Guests were good people -6am-2pm store hours

    Cons

    -Kitchen staff was racist, and it was acceptable -Management is unprofessional at best -GM was absent -The money is subpar compared to other serving jobs -Offered me a 'promotion' into management. Pay rate is $10 per hour, making it less than that of a server -Management catered to their friends on the staff as opposed to the actual talent -Pointless 6am meetings on off days that introduce nothing the staff doesn't already know about

    Advice to Management

    When you have a worker that shows up on time, works hard, and the guests love...why make their life difficult? Also, if Egg and I expects to keep their talent, they need to offer more money when offering promotions into management. They are thinning out their talent pool and I wonder if this business model is built to last.
