I have been working at The Honeybaked Ham co. (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great products that I can stand behind. Off on Sundays. Great food.

    Cons

Poor Compensation, Brutal holiday hours. Expected to fulfill multiple roles while getting paid for a lower role. (ie store manager being titled and paid as assistant manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be aware of issues within stores. Support management when there are problems. Leadership training and more assertiveness. Stand behind your core values.

Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA - Great Place to Work

I worked at The Honeybaked Ham co. full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Owned and operated by a woman who understands the value of surrounding herself by men and women in senior management positions, location in Norcross, GA, salary, benefits.

    Cons

I don't have much negative to say about this company except that I think cost of goods could be lower with more aggressive purchasing and innovative ways to save cost. They seem to do the same thing every year instead of looking for growth opportunities in all aspects of the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up with current trends and technology. Also, some of your stores are struggling because of a lack of customizable implementation of marketing programs supported by the corporate office for corporate owned stores. Finally, find a way to lower cost on items in the catalog. $90+ dollars plus shipping for a Beef wellington? There must be a better way.

I worked at The Honeybaked Ham co. full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

HoneyBaked is a values-based, family owned company where its employees are known by name by all levels of leadership.

    Cons

While the company has an awesome set of core values, its senior leadership team does not always follow them. There needs to be more of a walk-the-talk attitude.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Live out the core values even if you don't see others living them out. Be able to use these values to support whatever decisions you make.
