I worked at The Intersect Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Company culture is so much fun, the people in accounting and finance recruiting were awesome to work with. Good personalities who also like to have fun. The sales people and recruiters alike all have a lot of experience, and even though they compete with you, they are extremely quick to help and teach when necessary. Company events are extremely fun and collaboration is usually quite good.

    Cons

Turn over in some departments is high, but that can be navigated if you do your research and understand the expectations of the managers. Would love to see a 401k match, and there is a ton of change going on in hopes that the organization can grow in the very near future.. So you have to be ok with constant change. There are some strong personalities that are hard to deal with, so you need to speak honestly, be transparent, and never let those folks run over you. You will encounter people like that in every sales driven company, the A-type, high energy, over-achiever types.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps the top achievers do not always make the best managers. Fight to retain good people! Keep screening hard to make sure you aren't hiring shady people or people who aren't good culture fits.

Without question the Intersect Group in Addison, TX is the most dishonest of any I have ever worked with in the industry

    Pros

Seemed like a great place to work until I saw the true picture on the inside. Management at this place is nothing but a fa sad.

    Cons

The Intersect Group in Dallas (Addison) is the most deceptive and has the most outright dishonest people I have ever dealt with in the contracting/staffing industry. They will tell you and their clients anything to make a buck. I was a full time employee for them and the things I saw and heard were not just mind boggling but some were outright illegal. When I reported these things to upper management back in Atlanta I was told I must have misunderstood what I had been seeing and hearing. What?!?!! My advice is to avoid them at all cost.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Walk the talk or shut up because otherwise it's all lies and hocus pocus.

I worked at The Intersect Group as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

The job they had actually did exist. They did pay on time, the clients building was air conditioned. The parking was close.

    Cons

Will say anything to get you interested in the job, then nothing is as promised. No benefits for contractors. Rude staff. No concern once I was placed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At least make an attempt to care about anything other than the bottom line.

I worked at The Intersect Group as a contractor

    Pros

Very responsive at first but that was only temporary. Not very many pros.

    Cons

I had absolutely the worst experience with them. Completely wasted my time running me around in circles. The benefits really sucked. There was horrible communication. I would not recommend working for this company or trying to apply for a job contracting with one of their companies. Very unhelpful and rude.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respond to e-mail and calls in a timely manner. Very unprofessional.

    Pros

The company was very professional, as a staffing firm a company has to be responsive and attentive to the candidates that they engage and this was my experience. My recruiter Tiffany Allen was very available, responsive and she followed up regarding all of the questions that I had.

    Cons

There were no Cons in working for this company.

I worked at The Intersect Group as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

I cannot think of any; just another group of headhunters

    Cons

If you are contractor looking for representation, avoid this company like the plague. If you are contracting under them and they notice that you have updated your resume on monster.com, they will violate their terms of use agreement with monster.com as well as their own privacy agreement to report you to the client company. They did this to me and it resulted in the loss of my contract on the same day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Adhere to your own policies and your contractual obligations to Monster.

I worked at The Intersect Group as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

    I cannot think of any

    Cons

These people will monitor your resume status on monster and report you to the client company if you update it. I set my resume to limited visibility on monster and almost immediately got a call from the intersect group telling me they noted the update. They also told me they have a responsibility to the client and would report it. The next day after work I received a call from them telling me that my contract had been terminated. Hardly a coincidence.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should stop doing this before you end up in a lawsuit. I will be speaking with my attorney about next week. I will also report your conduct to monster.com.
