I have been working at The Johns Hopkins Hospital

    Pros

Wonderful teaching hospital with focus on learning

    Cons

No incentives for staying at the hospital....seasoned nurses still have to work holidays, weekends, on-call. Pay isn't competitive. I have to pay 120.00 a month to park 4 blocks from the hospital and walk through east Baltimore.

I have been working at The Johns Hopkins Hospital full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The opportunities to learn and work at a world class hospital and all the ancillary services which contribute to give unparalleled patient / member care is an exceptional work environment.

    Cons

Career progression and salaries are limited in some areas of Healthcare. Salaries are lower than you may find elsewhere ...but nice benefits counter.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage the in house staff to expand and grow past their current positions for improved personal and professional satisfaction.
