Current Employee – been working at The Methodist Hospital System full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – There not many, there are a lot of hospitals in the Methodist system so if you are willing to move around to more than one facility you have a lot of work options.
Cons – They stopped all pay raises, they are cutting benefits, the work conditions are horrible in most of the large hospitals.
Advice to Senior Management – Remember your greatest asset is you work force if you continue treating them as your are you will not have much of a work force left soon.

Current Employee – been working at The Methodist Hospital System full-time for less than a year
Pros – There are some really great people here to work with and the hospital has great values. Great cafeteria. I love being in the medical center and working at a prestigious hospital. I do not have to work extra long hours. They have a great wellness center with a gym and classes.
Cons – The pay is not that great. Barely any bonus or pay raise.
Advice to Senior Management – Help your employees grow.

Current Employee – been working at The Methodist Hospital System part-time for less than a year
Pros – I had such a pleasant and wonderful experience with the Nurse recruiter. She was very efficient and accommodating. I felt at home right away that I'm excited to work with the facility. She has such positive attitude.
Cons – I have tried couple of times applying before I got called within 6 months.
Advice to Senior Management – Consider to review all applicants resume for job posting. If called the first time I could have taken a full time position the first time and not take a PRN position.

Former Employee – worked at The Methodist Hospital System full-time for less than a year
Pros – Great benefits and fair salary
Cons – It is a very stressful job and would not recommend this job to anyone. They have a lot of issues within this department. They have 15 years recruiting software that does not track candidates. You will have multiple people yelling as you on a daily bases . They are not proactive, but reactive. Upper management - VPs have very little respect for this department, and they do not have the funds or man power to help you do your job,
Advice to Senior Management – Added recruiters and cut the 55 VP's with in the hospital to to 40. You are too, too, too top heavy.

Current Employee – been working at The Methodist Hospital System full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Fiscally sound company is comforting in these times of change.
Cons – Very meeting heavy environment creates less desk time to complete tasks, which contributes to less than desirable work life balance. Make sure meeting agenda is worthy of everyone's time away for their desk.
Advice to Senior Management – Should consider a better tuition reimbursement plan, which will encourage more line staff to pursue further education.

Former Employee – worked at The Methodist Hospital System full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – The Clinic setting, everyone I worked with was so cool and awesome from the Doctors, Hospital Directors, and to the staff. A very special team and the patients were great, I truly miss them. I didn't work in the same location as my assigned management, just fyi. Methodist as a facility and employer was GREAT, I worked for the PO Organization and only had problems with them.
Cons – My manager was clueless on the true functions and responsibilites of the clinic and had no understanding what so ever. He never fully investigated anything, only listened to one person which in fact was very untruthful, we have since parted ways, but HR knew he was wrong which I brought up a complaint against him. They were very supportive for the most part during the process. I will always love Methodist as a whole just hope the good hard working employees realize and learn they have rights and should stand up for themselves when being bullied out of a job by a manager.
Advice to Senior Management – Remember that your hardest best working are people too and should be treated with the up most respect when they are giving they all to an assigned position.
