Pros
TMG has Site Managers that care about the employees.
Great clients who appreciate what we do.
There is ongoing training.
Able to participate in committees.
Cons
Upper management and executives who are out of touch with the working class. We're the ones who interact with the clients on a daily basis. The employee of the month was a nice start, but morale is still low. Upper management views workers as assets that are easily replaced.
There is very little opportunity to move up within the company.
There is no budgeting allowed for things like holiday parties, birthday parties, summer picnics, etc. The client has these and usually invites us to these events, but we would like to have our own events that we can plan and control.
There is no flex time and no opportunities to have comp time.
Advice to Senior Management
Upper management should spend at least a week doing one of our jobs, whether it be in OSI or as an SSR to see what we deal with on a daily basis. They should understand that it's people that make the company and not the other way around. They should invest more time in interviewing more qualified candidates and making sure they are trained properly. There also needs to be better communication and we should be allowed to voice our opinions.
Pros
The company they service have wonderful people and they treat you very well. All the job satisfaction comes from interacting with these people on a daily basis.
Cons
Everyone seems down with the company and complains. If you get on the short list they will do anything to make you quit. Previous reviews were extremely accurate with their opinions.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees with greater respect and stop looking at them as disposable assets. Many people have had to suffer and they were excellent workers.
Pros
work in different locations
learn varies office skills
my immediate manager was easy to deal with and lenient (if the work was done he didn't bug you)
Cons
seniority rule.
does not matter if you more skilled then everyone else you do not get compensated for it.
no such thing as getting a raise or promotion.
Advice to Senior Management
give employees motivation to come in the next day. no insurance after years of employment, or even added vacation time. it is a dead end job for those who do not start in management.
