Former Employee – worked at The Oakleaf Group full-time for more than a year
Pros – Very high quality consulting projects. Projects range across a broad spectrum: M&A deal support, CRM strategy, competitive strategy and financial planning and analysis. Good exposure to a number of industries. Private equity relationships are valued very highly in the industry.
-Great place to build consulting and business skills: Senior client interaction is very common. Projects are very analytical in nature. In addition to consulting projects, Dean also offers a number of business development opportunities.
-Opportunity to work with very smart people. Recruitment is very selective and the consulting folks who I interacted with throughout my duration were very bright.
-Compensation is good
-As one becomes tenured, company is very flexible in accommodating requests to improve work-life balance
Cons – -Unpredictable hours
-Limited alumni network
-Sometimes cases can be long with limited opportunities to diversify experience
Advice to Senior Management – Invest in business development and leadership training for the mid-level consultants.

Current Employee – been working at The Oakleaf Group full-time for less than a year
Pros – It's a fast growing company with over 50 people. It's now a full fledge consulting firm where hiring is occuring weekly due to the great work that is going on. I'm new and started recently and this is what my pulse of the firm is now.
Management can be quite busy but they try hard and are dedicated to improvement. this firm has a lot of growth and opportunities ahead of it and if you like a small company growing to a mid-size feel and like to tackle challenges and help them figure out opportunities then you will be in a great place.
Cons – I can understand the feeling others have that it is a "staffing firm" But hey, it's a small company that's working real hard to grow and is.
If you like the big corporation feel with all the departments and bureacracy, this type of environment may not be for you
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the great work in winning more contracts and opportunities but continue to focus on employee engagement and development.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at The Oakleaf Group
Pros – -quick recruiting.
-no real boss.
-great pay.
-Room to negotiate your own rates since you are the contract consultant.
Cons – -high turnover rate.
-not a real consulting firm, but a decent temp agency.
-no real structure to company.
-no real opportunities to grow professionally. Just a temporary gig.
Advice to Senior Management – Use your core competencies more effectively. "recruiting". Eliminate unecessary
costs-jobs that don't revolve around recruiting.

Current Employee – been working at The Oakleaf Group
Pros – They allow for great flexibility and control.
Cons – There is no business model. Management considers itself a consulting firm, when it really is a staffing firm.
Advice to Senior Management – Choose a focus for the company and stick with it. You can't be everything to all people.

Pros – None - If you company isn't interest in hiring a minority then post on your website. This will save you and the applicant time.
Cons – After 5 seconds into the interview, I could tell Oakleaf wasn't interested in hiring a minority. I was shocked, because my background is a great fit.
I posted the interview on youtube listen for yourself.
Advice to Senior Management – Judge someone on there abilities. Not there race....
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
