    I have been working at The Ohio State University full-time

    Pros

    Covers tuition (~$60,000/year for out of state) with research or teaching associateship, Stipend for most students (~$20,000/year)

    Cons

    Parking on campus ~700/year, Experience highly dependent on adviser

    The environment is very friendly, and I get along with managers very easily. Employees get along very well.

    Cons

    Some of the traffic between floors needs to be regulated.

    I have been working at The Ohio State University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good insurance coverage, opportunities to learn new technologies and deal with a large number of buildings and environments. Some great coworkers.

    Cons

    Lack of career development and career path. Little / no room for raises or promotions. Great deal of complacency among long time employees. No opportunities to work from home and limited / no flex time.

    Advice to Management

    Learn to properly manage fiscal aspects of the university. Also, listen to your staff regarding constructive criticism and be open to change.

    I've worked here for several years. Good research environment and great coworkers.

    The pay was about the average. It is too cold in the winter.

    Great colleagues. My colleagues truly became some of my best friends. Really amazing and talented people.

    Overworked and sometimes did not respect work-life balance but overall things were good to be working there.
