I have been working at The Outsource Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Pay is Good and the Building is new. Coworkers are a diverse group. Discounts on cell, rentals, car repairs, movie tickets, etc.

    Cons

Location. Classroom environment. Small desks. No ergonomics. Work load expectancy. Prefer Quantity over Quality. 3rd party client service assembly line. Leads and UMs don't knkw their jobs. Condescending and disrespectful to older employees. Clique-ish.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow employees room to breathe. Offer a raise incentive opposed to a Bonus. Better benefits and bigger desks with 2 monitors.

    Pros

Some good people to with. Great work schedule

    Cons

Lab lost my drug test results and HR believed it was best to term position other then retake it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your employees more rather then just a number. Quality over quantity. How you treat your workers reflects as a company whole

I have been working at The Outsource Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great pay and bonus structure. The management staff is awesome. Excellent benefits. Potential to earn a raise each quarter. Very employee friendly.

    Cons

Big parking lot. Have to walk far if you don't get there 30 minutes early. Some of the female employees don't realize their cloths are too tight and have a distorted view on what professional dress is.

    Pros

The pay starts off at $15.00. Its a job

    Cons

Ghetto Staff, Benefits are terrible and expensive, and change is usually a bad thing. Be careful accepting this job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either get with the program or leave.

I have been working at The Outsource Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Reasonable pay and nice coworkers are the only reasons I stay. Occasionally there is a bonus or contest that provides some temporary motivation.

    Cons

Office politics are ridiculous, gossip rampant. Office conditions are poor, ac/heat are constantly in need of repair, office chairs, desks, cabinets are often broken and rarely replaced. Communication between upper management and staff is poor and fosters confusion and frustration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the staff and fix the heat and air. Tell people what is going on, don't make everything so secretive. Pay attention to your managers, one bad apple ruins the barrel. When staff complain you may want to take more than a cursory look.

I worked at The Outsource Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A lot of people contact by phone with provider of services you are billing for. Insurance payors and Dr's offices.

    Cons

Began working with them 2008 when company brand new in Birmingham, AL however nothing was etched in stone with rules and regulations (what was expected of you) Those issues came up and were changed daily and they were working on a policies and procedure manual when I left employment there July 2011.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider the types of policies and procedures for each individual person and departments before making a hire for a new company. They only had two office managers, one hiring and one answering the phones. They did a tremendous job at the beginning when it came to that.

    Pros

    Hours and pay are great

    Cons

Some UMs are bullies! They have no boundaries...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Watch who you hire as UM-they can put a fake smile on but when it's just them with staff they can be horrible!

    Pros

Rewarding work, opportunities are possible now that Parallon has taken over.

    Cons

Upper management too involved in day to day operations. Mangers are not knowledgeable in their roles. Too many dissatisfied employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find out why the employees are unhappy....

I have been working at The Outsource Group full-time

    Pros

Industry average pay scale. They offer health insurance, dental, etc.

    Cons

The worst case of micro-management I have experienced in a work place.
Manager tells direct reports what to do, how to do it and when to do it, giving no latitude to the employee
All decisions, no matter how small, must go through the manager
    Delegation of authority is absent
More time is spent reporting on progress (sometimes more than 3 times a week) than making progress
Input provided by the manager offers little value (e.g., nitpicking).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire the right people, encourage (don't push), and leave them alone to do their job.

The 6 years before we were acquired were incredible! The future is a bit of a question mark.

I have been working at The Outsource Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Never a dull moment, always something new and challenging. High growth rate both organically and due to acquisitions for 5 of the last 6 years.

    Cons

Some uncertainty after the acquisition of TOG by Parallon. This will shake out over time but right now, both sides seem to still be trying to figure out how make this work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to avoid breaking too much as you figure out how to integrate the two companies.
