    Pros

Working The Party Staff will expose you to things that most people will never see. You can learn on the job and sometimes get to eat the same foods the guest enjoy. Most of the event staff will help you learn the tricks of the trade. Clients can be very nice and on occasion, you may make tips.

    Cons

Management at all Party Staff offices lies on every check. Part of your wages are "Service Pool" monies. These are mostly not tips or gratuity. Party Staff pays at our about minimum wages and tacks the Service Pool money onto your wages to bump it up to a hourly amount that seems OK at the time. The problem is that your unemployment insurance and Workman's Comp insurance is based on the minimum wage amount. Party Staff shows that the clients gave you a tip in the "Service Pool" when they do not. Again, this lowers the rates The Party Staff has to pay into Unemployment Insurance and Worker's Comp Insurance. The Clients have no idea what the staffer get and are often shocked when they find out that often less than 25% of what they paid goes to the staffer. Clients have no idea about the Service Pool and may think a tip sent in as payment makes it to the staffer. There is no verification system on the employee side to find out if any client sent a tip for a staffed event.

    Advice to Management

Pay a real wages and stop cheating the system. People hurt on the job need the "real" amount they earned-not wage before this phony "Service Pool". Disclose in each client contract what the staffer makes per hour and disclose any tip a client gave both to the client and employee.

    Pros

If you cannot find a job this is the place to apply. QUick money but nothing spectacular at all.

    Cons

Completely disorganized management. Bookings that pay 11 an hour but take an hour and a half each way to drive to sometimes. No TIPS.

    Advice to Management

Show up on time when meeting employees and reconfirm if a place cancels so folks know ahead of time.

    Pros

Thorough PAID training, friendly and honest office staff. They want you to succeed!

    Cons

Like all on call work it's tough to plan ahead and its feast or famine!

    Advice to Management

    Pros

I am able to work when I am available and make up my own schedule which works around my everyday job.

    Cons

Compensation is pretty low but not minimum wage. If you commit to working a day, it is hard to get out of it if something comes up. And if that happens, good luck working again.

    Advice to Management

Never had a problem with management, overall a good experience.

    Pros

You get to choose your availability on a week by week basis, work all over town, meet lots of people and do VIP functions.

    Cons

Not enough travel pay for certain locations, low salaries, no tips, when it's slow you won't work unless you've been working for a while and have requests from lots of clients. The economy fall really hit the whole catering business hard, hopefully it'll get better soon.

    Pros

There was nothing good about working here. The staff has poor morale because the management is disfunctional.

    Cons

    Poor instruction/ no leadership
wrong information - sent to wrong address twice
Awful pay - worse than other companies
No training - I was put on an event the day after i was hired
the office staff has no clue what is going on at any given time

    Advice to Management

Get new staff because the people here are clueless

I left to a different job which pays better and treats employees better.

    Happy I am gone.
