    Pros

Looks good on your resume, people know you have the five star luxury experience if you've worked here.

    Cons

This is just a terrible place to work. The management is cheap in every way, nickel and dining employees - worst employee cafeteria ever (but you will be reminded constantly about how much it costs them!) limited staff dry cleaning, won't make facility repairs etc. You will be forced to work 12 to 18 hour days as a manager and then told you are lucky to work there. No pat on the back, no gratitude for hard work, just negative reinforcement. Every manager there is miserable and looking elsewhere. They underpay by market standards. The HR Dept are literally useless and don't know what they are doing. They do almost zero. Most departments are pretty incompetent and don't follow through internally because they are too overrun looking after the guest ad nauseum. The guests are enabled and spoilt and know they can abusively scream at you to get things free. Staff parking - you leave your keys in the car and daily someone gets items stolen or their car wrecked. They don't pay for this - you sign off on that when you get hired.

You will get a promotion if you spend your life there. You don't actually have to be doing anything productive or useful - just brown-nosing will get you a raise. if you manage your time well and get days off for that reason, you will be penalized and ignored. This is demonstrated by the F&B management team who do ZERO but are always at the Hotel. They won't even assist their line staff when it's busy or deal with guest complaints. But they kiss ass to the GM and are there 24/7.

    Awful experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop socializing so much with the Beverly Hills jetset and treating your employees like wenches. The phony fake "caring" front is not fooling anyone! Spend time with your staff and treat them like human beings. THEY run your hotel!

    Pros

Reputation. That's it. Some younger management and long time line employees are nice and understanding.

    Cons

If you're on salary...dont expect to have a life. I understand that's how it is but it is definitely not an rewarding experience.

Too much corporate drama. And if you are not into serving old senile rich people who has nothing to do but harass the employees, this is not the property you'd want to expand your hotel career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more considerate to your employees. We go through stress as much as you do.
