Current Employee – been working at The Roomplace full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Availability of merchandise at the DC ready to ship to customer as needed, as well as a good price point for the quality of the merchandise.

Cons – Constant change in practices and policies. Over use of micromanaging and dependence on spreadsheets. Salespersons commissions are penalized for issues that are out of their control by being charged for discounting of merchandise.

Advice to Senior Management – Continue to grow the atmosphere of the company with the development of closer teamwork between the departments of corporate, stores, management, office and distribution.

Pros – No one fights over customers

Cons – Too many steps, confusion in what commission is on specific products first 30-60 days on sharing commission with Co worker. Poor explanation.

Advice to Senior Management – Find better methods of training and rise the commission. Yearly salary is way lower than 50000

Pros – Good commission, good sales tools, good training programs especially initial training as well as product features and benefits conducted by vendors.

Cons – No structure, too many sales associates for the amount of customers. There's no need for that large of a sales staff which is intimidating to customers.

Advice to Senior Management – Changing the pay structure to salary plus commission, upgrade technology, and reduce the amount of management. Invest in more advertising
