    Pros

Office culture, People, Compensation all attractive.

    Cons

Product - Now with lot of product lines offered, company is kind of struggling to hold its feet down. Hope the market improves for the company for the better future.

    Pros

Amazing people. You feel like they are family.
Great work culture. Management tries to make the place fun and stress-free.
Decent but not outstanding products. Though management pumps them up to be greater than they are. Stronger competition is replicating these products, so the future gets harder.

    Cons

Top Heavy senior management. Too many talkers and too few doers. Everyone wants to give orders to others.
Promotions handed out in a haphazard manner to people who have not earned it. It is obvious that the promotion was given first, and the reasons were adjusted in later.
SAVO is a small company, and this should be run very frugally. Instead we see many people with fancy designations making a lot of money without matching responsibilities or revenue generated. Too many levels and managers with 1 report.
Management needs to act fast to get rid of workplace cancers.
Compensation at lower levels is not great. Barely market. Raises and bonuses are nothing to write home about.
No 401k Match. This is not highlighted when they give you an offer.
    Hurting financially.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the people with fancy titles who do not add to the bottom line. Add more doers (QA and Dev people) who will help you produce a good reliable product. Reduce the levels of command to just a few.

    Pros

Company is growing very fast. The executives genuinely care about the employees and are readily available to talk with at a moments notice. Fantastic customer list that continuously grows.

    Cons

Room for advancement is limited and sometimes feels impossible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Everything about SAVO has been amazing. Easily the best job I have ever had.

    Cons

I would like to see more women in leadership positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a way to submit both positive and negative feedback about coworkers. SAVO is generally pretty amazing about hiring great people, but there are a few bad apples. Take a better look at those who have high turn over rates or transfer requests constantly circling around them.

    Pros

very few...downtown location and decent compensation/benefits.

    Cons

Unprofessional management that talks down to employees, micromanagement, bad work life balance, antiquated technology stack, blatant favoritism of some employees over others, unrealistic deadlines, and down right lies about your career path and the projects you will be working on......and a grossly overcrowded office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with more respect.

    Pros

"high Tech Culture" free sodas in the refrigerator, fruit in the kitchen. Great "worker bees" /colleagues, great belief in the product and culture. John Aeilo Great founder and believer in vision, good man. Chicago a windy but great city to be located in. Great sales support and collateral. Very willing customer base to act as references.

    Cons

Technical infrastructure weak if not working at corporate. Just not enough bandwidth. Jeff Summers was a condescending disaster when promoted to COO, he is now gone after the damage was done. Sales enablement not a critical product, nice to have thus one of the first line items to be cut from a budget. Original founders put in a corner, BOD brought in Mark O'Connell from Matrix who brought in his management team of Mike Segal, Jane Seitz etc. If you liked Matrix's key management figures then you will like the new management of Savo

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is way too top heavy. Too many manageer or VP's with fancy titles. should be converted to money making sales reps.

    Pros

Great people, intriguing technology that does solve a problem

    Cons

Senior management over-involved in every decision, have all worked together previously and not open to ideas from others

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Add some talent that hasn't worked together before to the senior management team and stop micromanaging every decision

    Pros

I absolutely loved the people I worked with at SAVO. To this day some of the people I met at SAVO are my closest friends. I also love the mission of enabling sellers. There is absolutely a need for our product, its just a matter of justifying the expense

    Cons

For the most SAVO experiences the same pains as any other mid size company. They set goals high and they are not always achieved. There is often pain for the lower levels because they are not exposed to the higher strategic vision and plan for the company, which should be expected, you are not the CEO.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be realistic about where the company is and where you see it going
