ProsLearned a lot about sales techniques. Typical commission pitfalls and retail hours which can be hard, but definitely easier inside sales position. If you are young, motivated and mobile, great upward mobility potential

ConsHours are tough. Commission positions can be competitive. Know how to hold your own

ProsWorked here for a long time. Some great people still at corporate. Open culture and open door policy.
Stores very well layed out and great product to sell

ConsNo work/life balance. Work extremely hard for below average compensation. Senior management not open about the goals or plans.

Advice to Senior ManagementValue employees. Be open to discussion and ideas

Incredible opportunities for fast growing company

ProsPlenty of room for upward mobility. Good pay structure that rewards hard work and good customer service. Beautiful showrooms to use as a selling tool. This job has changed my life. Constant training that keeps you sharp on the sales floor.

ConsMany hours.Lots of pressure on store managers. management pay has decreased slightly this year.

Advice to Senior Management. Make sure managers are truly ready for a store before giving them the keys. Management pay decrease will see you lose some of your prime time players.

Managers are treated like CRAP. Regional is VERBALLY ABUSIVE.

ProsCompensation can be good at times. Depends on the mood of the regional. Pay structure changes every 2 months. Currently it STINKS.

ConsEvery day you are being threatened, verbally abused (DG). The one consistent message from my boss was do this or your fired. If this doesn't happen your fired. HE can do NO wrong we as Managers are always wrong. We work 65 to 80 hours a week. The PAY continues to DECREASE and the work load continues to GROW. They have no appreciation for what you do or how hard you work. This is one of the most thankless and hostile positions ever.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet in touch with what's going on in your organization. You have a lot of unhappy managers. There is a lot of incompetence and lack of support. Promote leadership not dictatorship. SALARIES NEED TO BE INCREASED. Every one deserves work / life balance that will improve productivity, Not a loud mouth dictator who manipulates you and is beyond approach.

ConsHours can be long and of course working almost all of the holidays, but this is retail people! what did you expect!!

No room to grow

ProsIt provides unlimited commision and has a decent flow of customers ( depending on the location) to give you a chance to try to make your draw.

ConsIt is a cut throat enviroment for the Sales staff for which each store has more Sales people than needed. There is no stucture of schedules for those who work there as your schedule changes weekly
