    Pros

Self-supervised shifts available, higher-than-minimum-wage pay, good rate of pay increases. Professional environment and good workplace culture.

    Cons

Level of activity can be highly variable- ranges from slow days with little movement to busy days of constant movement with packages up to 100LBs.

    Advice to Management

I would improve the standard software used for store operations- it takes quite a while to learn the ins, outs, and "quirks" of each program and how it is used.

    Pros

Easy work load, calm environment, and holidays off. I've worked at this company for 4 years and I've had a pretty enjoyable experience.

    Cons

Low pay, low hours, and not much room for advancement. Not much more is to be said here. I wish there was more I could advance to in this company.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to provide more opportunity to advance a person's career. Also higher pay would always be welcome.

    Pros

You acquire many business skills. If you become a Notary Public they give you a raise. They also pay for the Notary class. Great first job since you get to encounter a lot of business owners.

    Cons

No benefits. No room to grow. The highest level position they'll give you is an assistant manager position. They're franchise owned so if the owner doesn't care about their stores, good luck! Find a good franchise owner that will value their employees and not let their store go downhill.

    Advice to Management

For that store I worked at, management needs to take care of the store. It was falling apart the last time I was there. Also, take care of your employees, they run the store for you while management doesn't care what happens to the store except for cutting hours.

    Pros

My boss is great. I work with great people, my pay is fair, and management is very honest. Small work environment.

    Cons

Computer software and processes are extremely redundant and time consuming Often mistaken for UPS -- common to receive calls that only UPS can answer (this is a shipping store franchise, not a UPS staff location) Work can be physical at times No benefits No room for advancement Your experience will vary per store / owner because, again, this is a franchise.

    Advice to Management

Eliminate redundancies in computer software and processes.

    Pros

very very flexible schedule wise. close connection with other employees and employer. hours of operation are great, not many weekend hours necessary

    Cons

since so close, hard to call in sick, not many other employees to cover for you, people still think that shipping is cheap and it isnt no matter where you go.

    Advice to Management

I dont really have any. sometimes a little more communication with management and customers. my boss never seems to be there.
