I worked at The Woodbridge Group

    Pros

The Woodbridge Group is focused on evolving workplace safety, sustainable environmental stewardship and enduring customer satisfaction, in each of the markets they serve. Offer 401K, health insurance, and paid vacation time off.

    Cons

Frequent unwelcomed Corporate Intervention; often in the form of streamlining various Business Intervention Strategies that are implemented & rolled-out without clear directive to the workforce.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Regain the trust of your workforce; There exists a disconnect of trust between employees and corporate management- efforts should be prioritized by “upper management” to strengthen/restore the health and integrity of the internal culture of this company.

I worked at The Woodbridge Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Safety concerns are generally met in a timely fashion. There is opportunity for promotion. You get paid weekly instead of bi-weekly.

    Cons

Many times where more emphasis is put on production rather than safety. So of the laziest managers I have ever seen on a job site. They don't pay what you're worth considering the volume of work you do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise wages to meet industry standards, emphasis safety over quantity.

Canadian's get better treatment than American's in salary and job security. They will keep money losing plant open in Canada..

I worked at The Woodbridge Group

    Pros

They offer a 401k matching policy up to $500. The health benefits are somewhat reasonable, especially the dental health coverage and vision.

    Cons

The management has a i'm the boss, do what i say attitude. They believe the worker is always wrong and refuse to look at the whole picture to come up with a strategy to improve performance or efficiency. Long hours, hard work with inefficient tools designed by people who have never tried out the machines to see how they work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to realize listening to suggestions from the people who use the tool everyday on how to improve the tools might not be such a bad thing.

I worked at The Woodbridge Group

    Pros

This is a stable company. Good place to get automotive industry experience.

    Cons

Company puts cost savings above all else. Employees are trampled on. Managers will sacrifice anything or anyone to save their own skin. It used to be about the product and the service. It's now about a bunch of mid fifties senior managers (all men) hanging on to their cushy job and pension. The company will improve in 5 - 10 years when they all retire. They did make the right decision putting Charles Daly in charge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Support your people. Your bottom line will improve with happy people. Not by cutting them.
