A Good Start

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at The Zitter Group full-time

ProsExcellent growth opportunities. colleagues are very open to answering questions during the onboarding process. senior management takes a proactive approach towards your professional development.

ConsDepending on product teams, work flow can be difficult to manage during busy times. Not enough opportunities for client interaction at the junior level.

Company has great products and services

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at The Zitter Group

ProsGreat people--very knowledgeable on market access and managed care

ConsOwner not very open to others' ideas--definitiely an NIH attitude. Always felt that owner considered everyone a number and not interested in employees

Advice to Senior ManagementTake your head out of the clouds and think about your employees and what you can do to develop them

ConsAs the company grows so will the need to grow systems, especially IT.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep investing in newer and better IT and continue to try and preserve the culture.

A myriad of opportunity in a fast-growing company

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
San Francisco, CA

I have been working at The Zitter Group full-time for more than 3 years

Pros--Great opportunities for advancement due to the company's rapid growth and commitment to being a meritocracy
--We work in a really interesting niche of healthcare that is becoming more and more important to a variety of stakeholders
--There is meaningful interaction with a long, long list of pharma and biotech clients; helping them inform their strategy with our data is one of the most rewarding aspects of working here
--Employees of all levels are frequently asked for feedback on management, and for input into new product development
--Both offices (CA and NJ) communicate well with one another
--Staff at the company truly 'live' the core values (intellectual innovation, feedback and accountability, continual learning and improvement...to name a few)
--It's awesome to work with really smart, talented individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds (PhDs, lawyers, liberal arts majors, engineers, science majors, programmers)
--A ton of learning opportunities and professional development activities

ConsWork-life balance is what you make of it. If you don't proactively manage your workload you can get overwhelmed. Managers work hard to make sure this isn't the case, but it's ultimately up to the individual.

ProsInteresting Work in the healthcare space

ConsToo much of it. Very cliquey in terms of who has a say related to management.

Great people, fantastic culture, and well-intentioned senior management, but things are changing quickly.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
San Francisco, CA

I have been working at The Zitter Group

ProsThe people are fantastic. The culture was phenomenal, especially for younger staff just entering the workforce. The company is just made up of good people.

ConsThere has been a lot of turnover recently, and employees are uncertain about their future with the company. Senior management seems to be slightly misguided, although they have the best intentions. Additionally, some people seem to be promoted to management positions based on seniority rather than ability to manage.

Advice to Senior ManagementA significant portion of senior management has actually departed, or announced their departure, recently. Please hire the right people and reevaluate the current sales model.

Good entry-level experience

Analyst (Former Employee)

I worked at The Zitter Group full-time

ProsSmall company environment and sense of connectedness

Opportunity to make direct impact on report and product design

Individuals at all level of company can see and respect your work

Expectation for high-quality work is pervasive in culture and everybody contributes much to the success of the company

ConsSalary is competitive but not exceptional for the high caliber of graduates that are hired

Possibility of rapid advancement is touted but seems slapdash or arbitrary in practice

Work/life balance was within expectation but could be absolutely horrendous during certain report cycles

Culture appears to favor middle or senior management. All employees work very hard but lion's share of recognition seems to go to individuals above the entry-level

Very little in the way of onboarding, training, or initial support

Advice to Senior ManagementMore focus on developing younger talent will serve the company exponentially in the future

– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
