I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time

    Pros

The people that you work with are in the same boat as you, so it's nice to have someone to gripe with but keep in mind, this is a call center.

    Cons

Pathetic company luncheons, minimum to no raise, micro managing, company work ethic of "squeezing blood out of a turnip" with the amount of work that you are expected to complete between phone calls for minimal pay, benefits sucks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people to keep up with the work load and show some employee appreciation. Don't brag that you as the vice president make way more money than your peon poor workers that you "Don't have to worry about gas prices".

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific

    Pros

    Very good health benefits package

    Cons

Read the book "Snakes in Suits;" it is a good overview of what things are like here. There is definitely and old boy/old girl network in place, and the only way to move up in the company is through nepotism, dishonesty, or brown nosing. *LOTS* of micromanagement: expect to have to fill out reports, memos, etc. constantly. Even though the benefits are good, the pay is way below average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop focusing on metrics to the exclusion of all else

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO
