    Pros

google email and github being used for company mail and versioning system

    Cons

tight open space with lots of distractions, not enough toilets

    Advice to Management

put programmers into a different office-one which is not as distracting and preferably with good computers. The current laptops developers get are very bad for developers.

    Pros

A great place to work, fun, but hard work, laid back but professional, good salary benefits but you work for your money and a very interesting and dynamic environment where everyday really is different and everyone is an individual with their own character and personality where you can be yourself.

    Cons

Often longs days and tiring, but with a good team you pull through and find solutions. Peak season can be very busy, and off peak season often no work therefore most positions are seasonal and only downside to position, therefore no year-round stability or permanent contracts.

    Advice to Management

A bit more stability in the sense employees know where they stand even if no permanent job offers, would be good to know return dates and future prospects quite early on, therefore prior planning for both employers and employees, making it a little more stable.

I worked at Thomas Cook full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

you gain a great experience working in travel, you meet some great people whether they be colleagues or customers, working as a team you have all the training, help and resources you need whether that be in your immediate team another branch or head office, you get to travel to some amazing places either at a discounted price or educational trip which is covered by the operators or the company, holiday entitlement and pension is great overall a great company to work for.

    Cons

its retail so most branches are seven day trading you mainly only get one Saturday off a month have to work some Sundays and bank holidays, the salary is not great you do it for the love of the job though not the money.

    Advice to Management

look after you staff they are hard working and mostly bend over backwards to meet there targets and to meet customers needs. Don't let your experienced staff walk they know how to get things done, seal the deals and run the shop in your absence, just to save a penny as new starters need training they also can cause errors sometimes write-off which in the long run may cost you more in the long run

I worked at Thomas Cook full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Aggressive sales targets, which lead to dynamic work environment, however staff are very friendly. Management has an open door policy, always available and accessible during their personal time.

    Cons

Staff incentive is not satisfying and not fairly distributed. No clear career path and succession plan. Motivation curve started to decline during the past 5-7 years, since social activities for staff are reduced for budget reasons. No strong corporate culture specially with new staff

    Advice to Management

Although managers have an open door policy in general, but employees sometimes feel unfairness and lack of transparency dealing with staff benefits and compensations

I have been working at Thomas Cook full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Free Accommodation. Working in the sun . You gain experience working within a demanding market and customer care in extreme situations.

    Cons

Poor pay for the responsibility. Resulting in not being able to keep good members of staff. The commission rates are not transparent therefore the employees are demotivated.

    Advice to Management

Carrot and the stick policy does not work when you have nothing to lose when the pay is so poor. Sometimes the experience provided of working abroad is not worth the hassle you get on the job.
