    Pros

Perks included access to the Rosetta Stone program, paid group lunches, and an active health improvement program. I felt like a valued member of the team. The office was in a nice part of the city.

    Cons

Internal office space needed updating. Communication from management was spotty. Was difficult to find opportunities to interact with others within the company.

    Advice to Management

More frequent and consistent communication from management.

    Pros

The Pay was very good, solid stable company with lots of opportunity for professional development.

    Cons

The business unit of Scientific & Scholarly Research under Healthcare & Science is in a challenging position, morale is not good. They have huge market share, but, are having difficulty developing new innovative products to keep growing in the US, overseas was the only growth area. Basically It seems like a business unit that is a little lazy since for years they had a successful product with no competition. They are basically in reaction mode with competitive threats and for new products repackaging what worked in the past. Many business functions were not working together very effectively and not driving the change needed to keep growing market share.

    Advice to Management

In my opinion you must become closer to your sales force and customers; you must get much better at listening to the customer and getting that information into the hands of people that can effect change.

    Pros

Heath care benefits packages are among the best available and are tailored to your personal needs. Everyone starts with three weeks vacation instead of the typical two weeks that most companies offer. Good life work balance, very family friendly company.

    Cons

Business silos inhibiting communication between peers in different groups. Old girls/boys networks limited opportunities for "outsiders' to grow within the company. Deterioration of moral once the company became publicly traded and began making business decisions influenced by Wall Street.

    Advice to Management

More honesty with employees about business changes. Less deny, deny, deny and then boom okay this is actually happening.

    Pros

Nice work schedule, parking is eventually available.

    Cons

The building itself could use some updating, better lighting, and a new ventilation system (weird smells all the time)

    Advice to Management

    no

    Pros

Liquent gehört nun zu einer wirklich großen Organisation, ThomsonReuters, wodurch einerseits eine ganze Reihe interner Karrierechancen und andererseits Strukturen und Prozesse entstehen.

Liquent is now part of a really big organization ThomsonReuters which gives a lot if internal career opportunities on the one hand and structure and processes on the other hand.

    Cons

There are two real downsides which I would like to emphasize on: the ability of the management to lead and motivate the stuff and the never seen information hiding in this devision. Only the fact that an internet is not wanted proves a lot of this.

    Advice to Management

Offene Kommunikation und die Förderung von Informationsweitergabe sind gefragt! Mitarbeiterbindung würde Ihnen viele schwierige Zeiten ersparen.

Start with open communication and encourage information sharing! Employee retention would save you a lot hard times.
