Very collaborative between offices and within offices, exciting projects all over the world gives the opportunity to travel abroad

    Cons

The industry as a whole is lagging in compensation & benefits with tech and other professions along with the work/life balance in the AEC profession - not really specific to Thornton Tomasetti though

    Pros

High standard of design. Plenty of resources to enanhce your interest at work, like weekly seminars. Counseling with collegues located on different countries. Chance to expand own professional network fast and on 360°.

    Cons

Work-life balance: extra hours are paid, still it might be preferable to spend that time with family instead than working. The compensation is a kind of low, when compared to salaries of other companies in the same region.

    Advice to Management

    Revise the hourly tarif.

    Pros

Space to grow! Great community where your voice is heard, when needed.

    Cons

Pay could be better! Sometimes, new employees with similar background end up getting paid higher than the people that have grown within the company.

    Pros

Projects are some of the best in the world in terms of innovation and global spotlight. Employees are very skilled and helpful to each other.

    Cons

Work-life balance can be very bad. Employees are often overloaded and then expected to prioritize unreasonable deadlines ahead of personal life. Compensation is not comparable to other firms, and overtime almost seems expected instead of appreciated. Overall, it's easy to feel taken advantage of.

    Advice to Management

Properly support the staff for deadlines to avoid burnout. The morale can be dismal at times. Consider better training and organization of staff, hiring appropriately to avoid overloading employees.

    Pros

Good employees, hardworking, well educated, and dedicated to their work.

    Cons

Lot of talk about how great the company is but doesn't translate to the typically employee. Across the country people are unhappy.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your staff.

    Pros

Projects are varied and interesting. Work with very talented staff all over the country. Depth of new learning is incredible.

    Cons

The work load is very intense and the compensation is not necessarily commensurate with the personal sacrifice to meet deadlines and project commitments.

    Advice to Management

Reward those who are working hard in the trenches or acquire additional staff to share the load. Focus less on sustainability, which adds cost to the company, and more on profitability which should translate in better compensation all the way down to the employees performing work. Compensate employees for overtime.
