Narrowly focused on the bottom line and too many frequent layoffs

Developer (Former Employee)
Fairfax, VA

I worked at Tiber Creek Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

ProsFlexible schedule.
Benefits and pay are OK.
Middle managers care about their staff.
Ability to work remotely.

ConsThe company is too focused on short term profit, not on it's people. There continues to be many senior and highly skilled employees leaving the company. Rest are getting laid-off frequently. About 30% of the work force was let go in March 2013.Flip-flops and changes all the time. Terribly understaffed in all areas.

The outlook is bleak because of the significant dependency on DOD work that is struggling due to sequestration.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake care of your employees! Actions speak louder than empty promises.
When your employees leave, conduct exit interviews.
Don't make your employees beg to receive benefits you owe them.
Quit laying off good employees while keeping dead weight.
