    Highly political environment

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Los Angeles, CA

    ProsGood compensation
    Good benefits
Entertainment industry (could be plus or minus)

ConsSenior management has no respect for their subordinates, which is reflected all the way down the corporate ladder. Prepare to be treated as a peon.
Some groups have great leadership, but generally it's average-to-nonexistant
    Poor work-life balance

Advice to Senior ManagementStop spreading nice-sounding B.S. in corporate meetings and focus on implementing some of the corporate culture you profess to support.

Nice people but don't expect any training or team support..

Software Engineer (Former Employee) West Hollywood, CA

ProsYou are close to the concert and ticketing business.

ConsSatisfaction depends on which manager you get and whether your team has good team dynamics. The mobile development group has horrible team dynamics, dysfunctionally incommunicative team leads, political favoritism. Growth or training or junior people was not encouraged and little hands on dialogue in actively training new people. You get penalized for expressing your point of view and if you ask for help, then you are thrown under the bus.

Advice to Senior ManagementSupport your newer employees who don't know nearly as much as your senior people. Everyone is always learning in the field of software development, so you can't expect everyone to know everything. Allow for dissenting opinions and positive contribution, and less egomania.

Challenging and rewarding job place where you can see your work effort make a difference in people's lives.

Quality Assurance Engineer (Current Employee) Hollywood, CA

ProsTicketmaster is a wonderful place where you get to work with extremely intelligent people, have fun while working hard and doing what you enjoy. You work with the latest technology and make difference in people's lives by improving their experience in buying tickets to any and all live events, such as sports, concerts, theatre etc. You are never bored, you constantly grow and continue to learn new things on daily basis.

ConsI have barely anything bad to say about the company, after merger with Live Nation things were a bit rocky, but as time went buy we emerged bigger and stronger. We have new goals ahead and I see that the future is brighter than ever.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to innovate, update employees on the future of the company and direction we are heading.

    Some good, some bad

Business Intelligence Analyst (Former Employee) West Hollywood, CA

ProsReally nice benefits, time off "coupons", early off near holidays, 3 weeks vacation minimum, work provided milk (yes milk), soda, and juice.

ConsKind of sweatshop atmosphere, bullpen cubicles so absolutely no privacy, yelling at employees in front of others. Definitely an atmosphere of favorites and non-favorites, but it's not that different from most workplaces

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees equally. Training was a big example, some people got training, help with training, sent to training and others got nothing. It was just that way and nobody seemed to care.

    Good and Bads

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) West Hollywood, CA

ProsIt's awesome to work in entertainment..but the ticket discounts are not as great as everyone thinks.
    My manager was awesome!
Working with quite a few smart people who always have a side hustle.

ConsDecisions made at the upper level often come out of nowhere.
There are a quite a few people who think they are great, but really suck (lots in marketing!!).
    They work your butt off!

Advice to Senior ManagementClearly communicate strategic vision and stick by it.

Decent company that is not a not so great company.

Accountant (Former Employee) Los Angeles, CA

ProsGreat benefits package (vacation, medical benefits, paid-time off, 401K employer contribution) and great perks. Got free tickets to concerts and local sports games. Laid-back work environment, not your typical corporate work place. Although I believe this will all be changing once Live Nation full integrates.

ConsRevolving door of employees and lots of instability in upper management. Many high level management getting canned or leaving (which isn't a good sign). Constantly reducing work force and having to work with new people all of the time. After merger work morale was very low as employees felt that they didn't matter and weren't being treated properly. The decent work environment was completely ruined and Ticketmaster/Live Nation is not a pleasant place to be anymore.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat employees with a little bit of dignity stop taking them for granted. You won't keep good employees if you continue to treat then poorly... bad employees = bad company/reputation. I don't believe that the future of Live Nation/TM will go well under current management.

    Okay

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Los Angeles, CA

ProsAccess to tickets for popular events
    Company is constantly evolving
    Innovative technology
    International growth opportunities
Good stock option program for employees

ConsAll the recent upper management changes leave a bit of uncertainty
They have a bit of the boys club mentatlity

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep maintaining the pre merger environment, don't let Live nation just take over.
