Pros
Ticketmaster is a wonderful place where you get to work with extremely intelligent people, have fun while working hard and doing what you enjoy. You work with the latest technology and make difference in people's lives by improving their experience in buying tickets to any and all live events, such as sports, concerts, theatre etc. You are never bored, you constantly grow and continue to learn new things on daily basis.
Cons
I have barely anything bad to say about the company, after merger with Live Nation things were a bit rocky, but as time went buy we emerged bigger and stronger. We have new goals ahead and I see that the future is brighter than ever.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to innovate, update employees on the future of the company and direction we are heading.
Pros
Good to work with lots of bright people. High demand environment that's exciting to work in. Industry is constantly changing.
Cons
Very challenging business requiring constant flexibility.
Pros
pay is alright, very easy, room for advancement.
Cons
alot of undertime, not enough help when needed, research tools are horriable, not enough information given to the customer online so causes more work for agent which causes longer time on phone, which causes a bad call because going back with not enough help when needed and resource tools are bad.
Advice to Senior Management
keep up to date with venues policies, have more floor walkers, GET NEW MANAGEMENT!
Pros
Fun entertainment oriented culture, I made lots of friends
Cons
A bit political at times
Advice to Senior Management
Don't sell out to LiveNation... er too late
Pros
Ticketmaster offers a relaxed work environment. They have understanding and competant managers with proven technical skills. Management never comes across as over bearing or unreasonable.
Cons
Overall, I would have to say some of the planning that should be taking place after the Live Nation merger is incomplete.
Advice to Senior Management
Some processes should undergo far more planning before trying to move on into the implementation stages. It's frustrating to begin something, have to back out of it, then, begin again.
Pros
free gigs, good location in central london
Cons
worked like a dog, everyone stabbing each other in back
Pros
Great perks as we had access to tickets for events that typically sell out.
Cons
Disappointing that there wasn't more room for advancement. Seemed employees were just considered numbers--no recognition for outstanding performance.
Advice to Senior Management
Make the investment of time to examine the great employees you currently have working there.
Pros
Good benefits.
Extra perks like free tickets, meals, etc.
Reasonable schedule and support for work-life issues.
Telecommuting supported.
Dress code casual.
Can learn lots of technical stuff (as long as you don't need documents)
Cons
Horrible politics and people talking behind your back.
Senior management not competent and does not support or trust other 1st level managers.
The people that like working there are not managers.
Limited written requirements and technical documentation.
Lots of people are just there for the money and title, but are incompetent.
Advice to Senior Management
Need management overhaul. Bring in experienced 1st level managers from other companies and trust and support them. Let them clean house of the technical folks that should not be there.
The different offices CA and AZ don't really know how to work together.
Pros
Really nice benefits, time off "coupons", early off near holidays, 3 weeks vacation minimum, work provided milk (yes milk), soda, and juice.
Cons
Kind of sweatshop atmosphere, bullpen cubicles so absolutely no privacy, yelling at employees in front of others. Definitely an atmosphere of favorites and non-favorites, but it's not that different from most workplaces
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees equally. Training was a big example, some people got training, help with training, sent to training and others got nothing. It was just that way and nobody seemed to care.
Pros
great company. growth opportunity. great people.
Cons
new merger changed a lot in the organization.
