Pros
Benefits if you need a job and desperate for work this is the place to work.
Cons
Salary is very low for the work you do ..They try to make salary better for you based on performance score card but this takes almost 1 year to understand because its not learned in trainning... With all the rules implemented by the time you understand score card. You can be fired based on lack of good performance.....
Advice to Senior Management
Stop changing score card to TWC advantage...
Pros
great place for advancement but dont like being paid commission personally
Cons
start of small and work your way up
commission
Advice to Senior Management
Try to hire more and more people about once a week to make sure business stays fresh with new ideas and room for improvement. Also to try and cut down the amount of wait time for customer serviced to be reached other than that doing great.
Pros
Managers are fully aware of what you're working on, and give you good feedback on how you are doing. They are not pushy but do expect you to do your job.
Cons
Don't really know how your work will affect other teams, unless you specifically find out who else are related in the same project.
Advice to Senior Management
Can focus more on mentoring new hires. I've seen a lot of new employees and interns get confused about what they have to do without knowing the right people to ask.
Pros
The best reasons are the perks. Free cable, free internet, discount for Pay-Per-View and Phone Services. Employee 401k matching and relatively inexpensive health coverage.
Cons
Like any large corporation there is a lot of red tape. Decisions are slow to be implemented.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep the focus on making employees satisfied instead of worrying about the bottom line (share price). Happy employees = loyal cable subscribers.
Pros
growth potential, great benefits, good people
Cons
24 by 7 schedule for many jobs, and if not, there is potential for on call
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
Great people and great environment. Management is very respectful and is understanding. Who doesn't enjoy watching sports and getting paid to do it!!!
Cons
Working in the natural elements. When it is cold it sucks. But every job has its downfalls. pay it not the best either but definitely a good starting point.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work and try improving the equipment.
Pros
It has great benefits for it's employees.
Cons
As an AE your job is ALWAYS at risk if you do not make your numbers.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop layiong off so many employees through the regionalzatino process. What works for one region does not always work for every region.
Pros
great benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k program), competitive environment, good recognition, big company with opportunities for growth within, excellent training programs
Cons
no good communication with upper management and employees, high churn rate, low employee morale, job security is questionable, a call center environment with all of it's prejudices
Pros
Time Warner Calbe is a stable place to work.
Cons
Cable is a difficult industry to succeed given the technology changes which lead consumers to non-cable products and services.
Advice to Senior Management
The one critical piece that is missing is work-life balance.
Pros
Benefits are very good-only way they keep people who live in fear of losing their jobs
Cons
People-they are out for themselves and do not care about the customers or each other.
Advice to Senior Management
Customers come first
