Pros
Good benefits health dental 401k pension and free cable.
Cons
Poor communication. Procedures, utilities, and rules change on a daily basis. No real room for advancement. Employees are becoming numbers. Stats are constantly changing and being set in a fashion that is turning the call centers into meat grinders, and if you cant meet them you will be pushed out the door.
Advice to Senior Management
Take a few days on the phones and try to meet the expectations you set. Treat employees with respect like adults.
Pros
Great benefits
Great discount programs
Free cable, phone, and internet.
Cons
Lack of care and management.
when it comes to QA score, watch out. (For example, you get points off because you didn't verify customer's SSN# who was asking only location of the cable store. That's right, we weren't allow to give our cable store location unless they verified their SSN#.)
loss of communication between managers and employee.
Constant new hires, which means constant layoff.
Advice to Senior Management
why bother, you don't care anyway.
Pros
Benefits, and the people. Time Warner Cable look to move forward and take good steps to define their business properly.
Cons
Rigid structures impede at times. While progress is always difficult in a larger company, there are ways to guide professional atmosphere to allow growth as a quality of business.
Pros
It is a good environment to work at Time Warner Cable, not only because of the free cable and internet, but the people are more relaxing and easy-going
Cons
Since it is a steady company, people would not leave the company. Less opportunities to grow in some sense if you are motivated and driven to grow.
Advice to Senior Management
Take some time to evaluate each staff, when u see the potential, please please promote them. Don't let them do the same thing over and over again.
Pros
Fredom because you drive your own Truck
Cons
LOTS and lots of work every day very bussy
Pros
Can make a good living, free cable. Stable company.
Cons
It is a difficult job. If you do not have self motivation and sales skills.
Pros
Great Benefits.
Free Cable.
Lots of flexibility when it comes to time off and special arrangements. This varies by department however.
Cons
Boring Job. Not much to be proud of in my field.
LIttle Chance for promotion in some positions.
Low to average wages.
Advice to Senior Management
Management doesn't communicate well with employees especially when there is talk of drastic changes such as layoffs. This leads to a negative work environment.
Pros
well you get free cable
Cons
bad comp plans, bad leadership
Advice to Senior Management
sell spot cable only
Pros
Good training, good benefits, a lot of nice co-workers
Cons
They make it really hard to earn commission. I was there for about 6 months and they changed the rules several times making it harder to earn commission. For example, if someone calls you for tech support because they're upset about their cable being out and you don't try to sell them phone service 3 times that is going to count against you for commission. A lot of co-workers that didn't seem happy but it was a job so they stayed.
Advice to Senior Management
Being reasonable. Be fair... Give out less candy and have a realistic tier system for employees to make money.
Pros
It's slightly better then being un-employed.
Free cable, Free internet. Discounted phone service.
The day to day people that work around you.
Cons
Try'n to move up in this company is impossible. Seems like knee pads are required. Sales is the base of everything. Time off is impossible. Management doesn't care about you. Too them your just a number.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your customers, Listen to your employees. At the rate your at... 10 years from now you may have neither at the rate your at.
