Pros
free cable (which seems to be dwindling) benefits are o.k. I like going to different houses every day and meeting new people
Cons
installers are forced to work in service but not get paid for it, are way underpaid, and are always lectured about our corporate "numbers" being below average when most of those stats are out of our control. supervisors will not stand up for you. we are given way too many jobs in a day. No chance of getting promoted at all. You have to be buddies with someone to get anything. Its embarrassing to go to an install and all you have is old beat up cable boxes and modems to give to the customer.
Advice to Senior Management
Admit there is a problem. Do the installation sups even know how to do our job? Do you honestly think we are getting paid enough?
Pros
Good benefits, no shortage of work, tools and vehicle provided, good training
Cons
Lower pay, so much change that effects cable so there are always complaints, makes you feel like you are always explaining to people why they missed their shows because of faulty equipment.
Advice to Senior Management
Ride out with your employees in the field more to see what changes are effecting the subscribers
Pros
-Enjoyable company to work for
-Free cable, internet and discounted home phone. All premium channels included.
Cons
-Management can get bogged down with employee requests easily.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work. It's apparent they try their best.
Pros
Free cable and internet , excellent health care package.
Cons
Can only get ahead based on who you know, and not your skills
Pros
Great place to have on resume because the atmosphere is non stop work and training. Time Warner Cable is a respected company amongst employers. However, most employees are looking for a way out.
Cons
Information and procedures change on a daily basis. The opportunities to advance within the company is based on who you know and not your abilities. "Career progression" is constantly changing making goals harder to achieve.
Advice to Senior Management
Start taking feedback from your front line employees. They are miserable.
Pros
Great Benefits, Free Cable and Internet. Vacation 2 weeks your first year.
Cons
Stressful, They expect waay to much and dont want to compensate for it. They are about favoritism. Make sure you make friends if not you will not go far.. Very strict about schedule, and QA and Call Handle time and Sales!!!!. You must sell or management will not give you any respect. They will constantly stress you about selling...
Advice to Senior Management
Appreciate good employees and compensate accordingly. We are not ROBOTS! and shouldn't have to brown nose to be promoted...
Pros
Good hours and decent pay.
Cons
Small offices if you work in the sales offices
Pros
Great people, nice offices, team players!
Cons
my opportunity for growth was limited
Advice to Senior Management
give employees a chance to grow w/ the company.
Pros
Free Cable, great medical benefits, Real people trying hard to make a dollar. This company still offers a pension plan
Cons
The sales dept is a mood depressing environment. All calls are monitored and you must follow a scripted sales process on each call, if you miss something then you will get a negative QA score this reflects in your commission. exp(cust states they need to make payment arrangements, you must reply I will be glad to help you with that, then proceed to sell them something and then transfer to cust care so they can speak with someone who can set a pay arrangement). None of the depts have a one call resolution, customers get transfered all over the place and hopefully they can finally get someone to help them
Advice to Senior Management
A top sales person does not always make a great manager. The leaders are always asking why this and why can't we have better quality score, why can't more be sold, you might want to look at the restrictions placed on the rep by the leaders, this has really gotten out of control and TWC hurds people in and out like cattle. The CEO has no idea how this office is being run
Pros
Great Benefits, some opportunity to advance
Cons
Inbound sales dept is run by people who dont know how to motivate sales people.
Unfair distribution of work.
Advice to Senior Management
pay people for the work they do and have reasonable expectations
