I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Excellent benefits
    Vacation/Sick pay
    Full time hours

Fun place to work if you like hustling. Coworkers are friendly.

    Cons

Commission is hard to get...you could be 1% off and that can make the difference between 100 commission and 1000 commission.

    Sales goals are unreasonable.
    Management is horrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get on the phones at least 1 a week and you will realize what you write on paper and what is really happening on the phones do not add up.

I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits. Always guaranteed a full work week.

    Cons

Top heavy company, always changing work procedures, not necessarily for the better. Seems like management demands more and more from their employees, but not willing to pay them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If it ain't broke don't fix it, and pay the man (or woman).

I have been working at Time Warner Cable (more than 10 years)

    Pros

None' they have been eliminating anyone who needs FMLA in violation of the law. "Fact not fiction." I am still employed but have not worked. These people are liars. They will always find a way to "take back" the bonuses they pay. Not only that, they have a "no fault attendance policy" and continuously violate the FMLA Statute and Regulations. Hence, your production will suffer because they will hold the protected absences against you in direct violation of the law. The courts are not sanctioning these employers on a regular basis either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop breaking the law and stop lying about the benefits. Again, they will use protected absences against you to keep the money you earned...the courts have no sympathy, i.e. they will win because "bonuses" are not guaranteed. As long as they treat everyone the same...you have no recourse in court REGARDING BONUSES. The bonuses is how you make your money!!!!!

    Pros

Great opportunities at commission but you essentially hate yourself by the end of the day.

I worked at Time Warner Cable as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful work environment. Room for growth in the company. Promote from within. Senior level executives remember everyone from the custodians to the production assistants to the interns. Wonderful location, campus.

    Cons

Working in media means many acquisitions and television rights are difficult to get figured out in a short amount of time. Nothing that the company can control but just something to consider for the industry.
