    Pros

The company likes to listen to your ideas about how to manage your property.

    Cons

Some of the higher level people think that their position give them knowledge that they would only really get through experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leave the people in the property management positions to handle the day to day operation of their buildings.

I have been working at Tishman full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The senior management and mid-level employees are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable folks in the industry. Much to be learned from them.

    Cons

Very little guidance/training offered within the company. Sort feel like you've been thrown into a pool and told sink or swim. This is changing though.. since the acquisition of Tishman by global company AECOM they have begun to slowly implement employee training sessions and the like. But also with the acquisition Tishman has lost that small company feel and employees are not treated as well as in the past. Feels like you're just another face in the crowd of thousands belonging to the parent company worldwide.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more focus on transferring the knowledge and experience of your seasoned staff members down to the junior level.

I have been working at Tishman full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Tishman Construction Corp has copious projects for present and future but executive management is questionable.
This is a Pro but qualified review

    Cons

There is excessive tension between VP's and between the younger and older employees.
Many of the young professionals are in the habit of not fostering the "team" component in managing projects. I have heard senior management refer to such employees as barracudas

    Pros

There is room to grow as well as plenty to learn as an entry level employee. The people a good and the culture is easy to adapt to if you are open minded.

    Cons

This is a construction company so many of the cons vary from job to job. The current project that I am involved in is very stressful and involved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow for time to learn and adapt to people projects and programs involved. Provide support for new hires to grow and fit in to the work flow.
