I have been working at Toro full-time

    Pros

Work life balance is awesome, the product is cool, and my co-workers are very friendly. Pay and benefits are alright too

    Cons

Finance has managers handcuffed. It is nearly impossible to get any capital requests approved. Took six months to get a hand dryer for the men's bathroom through the process

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get a clue on how to efficiently run a manufacturing organization. You're not going to finance and market your way to a competitive position.

I have been working at Toro full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

None... Unless you only like to work 10 months out of the year... Upper management could be more responsible.

    Cons

Toro puts too much focus on customer. Without taking care of employees. hint (year round work)... Your customers will leave in droves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit making excuses about seasonal markets and devise a plan to keep people working year round... it's your job also.

I have been working at Toro full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Toro develops an interesting product for the mobile industry. Most colleagues are great to work with and the company is small enough to feel like you can hang out with your colleagues easily.

The projects are interesting and it's always possible to bring your own ideas and discuss them with your team mates and managers.

Also, the time-off policies in the Taipei office are much better than in any local Taiwanese company: 10 holidays the first year, 15 after (in Taiwanese companies, it's 0 holidays the first year, 7 after).

    Cons

Although Toro has been created many years ago (in 2007), it still suffers from all the bad sides of a startup company, and especially the financial instabilities. Salaries are always paid late, sometimes months late.

This could almost be acceptable if the upper management (CEO, CTO, board) communicated properly, but every time their communication strategy is a disaster. Basically, instead of planning and handling shortages of cash by communicating to the team, the management hides the bad news until the very last moment, making everyone not only very angry, but putting their employees in danger (many young people with almost no savings to survive 2-3 months without a salary).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communication, communication, communication.

Hiding the truth to the employees just make them start gossiping and not trusting the upper management anymore.

I worked at Toro full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - "Great" place to scale over your coworkers to a higher position if you like this kind of game of "thrones".

    Cons

    - There is not really market for their product which is being pushed to their customers forcing them to adopt it.
    - They filled Glassdoor with fake positive feedbacks and telling to their employees the file in Glassdoor is not about the actual company, but other in America.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Sell the company
